aux cable won't play music on my car's speakers when I plug it into my phone. using an HTC Desire 530 and when I try to play music, it plays through my phone's speakers. help pls

Sounds like a driver problem. I guess Android doesn't have drivers for your car. Gentoo does though, try installing it

Take your bulky shit case off it's stopping the plug from going all the way into the port.

This is a possibility if you have a large case.

I'd also try

That cable in pic has 4 pinouts, one of them is for video/mic which may cause problems (?) I'd try regular audio aux with 3 pinouts on the 3,5 connector

That's not an aux cable, that's a cable with line control and mic and your stereo doesn't support those.
