why the fuck would i even want that other than for dick waving?

>why the fuck would i even want that other than for dick waving?
Look around you. Where do you thnk you are?
Every "rate my build" thread is based on would-be dick waving.

People used to say that about having more than 256MB of RAM, uses will be found

You could keep hundreds of thousands porn tabs open concurrently and not have to worry about running out of memory. It could be used for programming and running simulations too.

You could use it to mine bitcoin.

Most people just wouldn't have a need. The heat and power wouldn't justify a rig like that.

That is unironically shit. I have a Xeon based gaming PC, the only reason I got it was because I had the Xeon. My clocks are a bit lower than that but I have massive single core bottlenecks in games.

It's not bad enough that it really matters, but it's rare I ever see figures higher than 100fps.

>seagate
>fucktons of low powered cores that I will never use fully
no thanks

>16k pounds to play dwarf fortress and watching torrents of subbed bhutanese cartoons

>SSHD
why

>tfw still running a FX6100 workstation
>tfw running Samba server on a T61s
>tfw using a raspberry pi 2 as a thin client
>tfw gaming machine is a $45 dell optiplex
>tfw everyday driver is less than $180 bucks
>tfw chinkphone under $150 bucks
lemme get uuhhhhhhh welfare check

Better off with dedicated asics for that.

Bitcoin mining outside of dedicated ASICs has long since become a pointless waste of electricity. On CPUs even moreso.

It would run DF like ass, the single threaded performance is shit

>Seagate 4TB SSHD Hybrid Drive
you would have to pay me to use this garbage, and for the required cloud backup

I don't want it

I think the highest core count and RAM I'd want is 16 and 128GB, paired with a 2TB Samsung 960 pro

For most of us mere mortals getting anywhere near 100fps at 4k resolution is amazing

who's talking about 4k?

>wanting hardware you won't utilize properly

How to spot a normie.

>tfw could afford it but it's a bit much for my needs

was eyeing a dual xeon build last year but a single 10-16 core thing would suit my needs just fine at half the price

>tfw you will never have this computer

In 10 years they'll probably be far better computers for much cheaper.

I can wait.

that thing looks disgusting why would you want it

>seagate
>bad (anymore)
my seagate 3tb is fast as fuck for a harddrive and makes my (albeit old) wd black 1tb look like shit

what's the best bang for buck partpicker layout that would give you as much power? like what gen of intel or amd would match that?

if I want fast I get a ssd, I want a hard drive to be reliable

>seagate
Enjoy tossing your data into the wastebin.

Only 2 sockets? Lame...

If you had a gfx card that can do 100 FPS at 4k resolution without breaking a sweat on my computer, it'd probably do 120 FPS or higher in your mere mortal computer.

I assume because VR and game recording. It uses a lot processing.

How retarded are you OP, that is a single socket system.

...

Not op, but i would love having that many cores. Mpi would be so cash.

That computer looks like it was made by Ahmed.

>2 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
It'll literally struggle with 8K. Pathetic!

stay jelly user

I'm not saying it's a bad computer, it genuinely reminds me of clock boy.

>all those neo-nazi tabs
I hope it's just bait

id rather have 1 thread ripper

He's using iOS, he's clearly a douchebag.

pic related

how retarded are you user?

Charge to render stuff for people.

>No graphics card
>girlslauging.jpg

>buying an autism badge

i have a bunch of them

Why don't you have a bookmarks bar?

Definitely a douchebag. I bet you type all your URLs out manually like a normie.

Video editing, and that's still not enough power.

I'm pretty sure Intel sells an i7 10-core that gets like high 3s/4 turbo on the same socket as Xeon. Why not do that with your 22-core meme, then run Xen with Windows on the i7 with a whatever GPU is the best nowadays passed through and Linux running on the 22-core?

>cluttering your screen with a million toolbars
>not a normie
pic related is used to hold a water bottle

How do the fuck is a bookmarks bar a toolbar? Have you not yet discovered that it's a feature built into the browser?

are you just pretending to be retarded user?

>I bet you type all your URLs out manually like a normie.
I don't think that's really a thing.

of course I will never have it.
Why would I? I barely use my mobile quad core cpu and 16GB RAM, and you're talking about 88 CPU threads and 256GB ECC RAM.
Unless you're gonna render your mother's ass on it I wouldn't bother wasting money on useless (for you) resources.

You know you can just type a website name if it's already bookmarked so the link pastes itself into the link bar?
lurk moar newfag

Why would you have a bookmarks bar wasting space at all times when you can just use a menu

You're worried about half an inch of space?
Menus have more steps and you have to scroll through them like a buffoon. I bet you Google search for the sites you regularly visit every time. I bet it's not even Google but Yahoo or some shit.

>You're worried about half an inch of space?
Yes.
>Menus have more steps and you have to scroll through them like a buffoon.
My bookmarks menu is nicely organized so scrolling through it isn't much of an issue, and websites scroll vertically, vertical space is important. Not to mention a bookmarks bar wouldn't show most of my bookmarks.
>I bet you Google search for the sites you regularly visit every time.
I don't even have them bookmarked. I just type the first letter or two and press Return.
>I bet it's not even Google but Yahoo or some shit.
