Speccy thread

Post speccy screenshots and explain why you have the config you do.

I'll start:

I'm a 22 year old male that lives in an almost third world country, hardly making any money by working my ass off everyday. Have a college degree in computer science that doesn't help. Dumping all my hard working money in my car rather then my computer that basically is just to watch porn, YouTube and Facebook. Haven't played a single electronic game since 2009 and don't own a console.

18m USA, built from Christmas money when I was 14 primarily for vidya

I'm upgrading to R5 1600/GTX 1060 for primarily the same reason

...

I've got this because I love the form factor, the hardware is the way it is because there's not really much to upgrade and it works okay as is. I am going to install an SSD and maybe upgrade the Wi-Fi from a/b/g to a/b/g/n/ac. I want to see if I can cram an IrDA adapter in it, it just seems like it could use one. Plus then I could transfer shit to my eMate 300.

Sup Forums help me with my poorfag build.
>old AMD A10-6800k
>shitty Coolermaster cooler
>temp 30 Celsius in idle
>70 underload
>finally upgraded to jewish masterrace
>$100+ Corsair Hydro watercooler
>idle at 40
>underload 80+
The fuck am I doing wrong Sup Forums?

Speccy doesn't detect anything except my OS for some reason.

>37 CMA
>Work as machinist
>Traumatized by jock step-father that wouldn't let me spend my own money on the things I like.
>Now play extensive steam library at 2160p with all the bullshit on super-high.

Feels good, man.

I have a compy

Redo the cooler installation.
It might not even be making solid contact with your cpu

You bought Flaming Lake and lost the lottery. Feel the burn.

Kabylake housefire is not really a meme... they have shit IHS application and TIM deliders get like 20 degree drop....

Albion is such a fucking disappointment.

started as a p8p67/i3-2100/4gb1600/HD6850 and has got craigslist and ebay upgrades over the years. Going to pop a 3770 non k in it and run till zen+ probably. Can push it to 4.1GHz@105 bclk but run [email protected] daily

2nd the mount/paste application. First time I repasted my 390°x temps were poor because of a bubble.

>grinding that epic loot
>get ganked by 20 Russians
>Lol all of your progress is lost time to buy gold

What a beta

Waiting on Vega

Reason: I don't like slow computers.

Sorry guys, the computer is working fine. Just wanted to see how many (yous) I would get. I honestly didn't think there would actually be helpful people left on Sup Forums.

>tfw upgrading my i7 920 to a Xeon X5675 next week
>tfw I'll be able to post my speccy and not be embarrassed

Pretty excited bros.

I had a nice tax refund.
I don't need 16 threads.

Nice hiss.

4 screens boi

>4 screens
And not one of them worth a damn.

4 screens with absolute shit tier resolution

Whats the point in having a 1060 and 1080? Aside from pci passthrough and in that case would it even show both cards?

Its a good processor, but I am going to upgrade to a ryzen 1600 because no vt-d on a 2500k thanks intel, no overclock because I don't really need it and I like my processor running cold.
Also I really need to get myself an ssd.

Don't know why first snip was blurry, assume cause I snipped entire window.

started off as an i5 based vidya build, trying to stick to a sub £600 budget. but then pricing errors happened and i got the i7 for less than the 4690k, along with an 860w corsair psu for less than the 550w.

the motherboard was free from a guy i know who used it once for a review.

the 970 was bought on recommendation of logical increments, before 3.5gigamemes scandal hit. its a good card though, so no regrets

This was before windows 2016 server install. I am lazy. 1060 is for a Windows 10 vm.

snip

you don't need to be embarrassed of your computer specifications, some of us just don't have it as a center of our lives. as a matter of fact, I'm contemplating ditchig my core 2 duo and just using my work PC for everything.

Built it back in 2012. Swapped a couple of GPUs and added some drives and a stick of RAM along the way, it's served me quite well.

I like having nice stuff. And before I get ripped on for a 1080Ti on 1080p 144hz, i like completely maxing out settings. OW completely maxed out with 100% render scale is at ~280fps which is what I like. 980Ti wasn't quite capable of that.

Also play PU:BG among other things. I know most of the games I play don't fully utilize my gpu but when I want to max something I want to be able to max it.

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over this ridiculous frame-rate.

...

...

So 1080p is shit now?

he's just some consumerist conformist fucktard

do you people want to go blind? disable cleartype for God's sake.

>i7 4790k
Are you noticing any bottleneck in more cpu demanding titles?

lol, lost the lottery of getting a properly designed CPU

what do you do with all that storage??
shit i can't fill even 500 gb xD

high res tv shows and movies can occupy a lot of space user

I like competitive video games.

I also enjoy editing and heavier tasks, but I don't want to compromise how CS runs for those. A tradeoff-free setup would end up costing quite a bit.

I should upgrade to faster DDR3, getting some nasty frame drops at high frame rates, and that usually fixes it in similar setups.

what are your heavier tasks? what resolution do you use?

I seriously doubt you'll see the difference between 300 and 330 fps on your games

Heavier tasks include photo and video editing along with fucking with virtual machines.

I use both native and 1024*768. Latter out of necessity, really, to weed out frames lasting longer than ~7ms...

I don't give a shit about your doubts, after HRTF and animation/hitbox updates my CS:GO has stuttered visibly, and that game loves fast ram.

I like games and anime
