lifters can be as fat as they want; runners tend to be lean. your physiology changes your body's composition depending on the exercises you do. that is why your powerlifting buddies will inform you that more than 30 min. of cardio is too much -- it interrupts your ability to turn into a heap of meat.

Not really, I used to be around 80kg, unable to gain or lose no matter how much I ate/didn't eat, and I can tell I've got too much now. The added weight was fat, I got a slight belly and everything, it was a year of me not doing anything and mostly sitting on my ass.
I'm exercising again now, lost a lot of explosiveness and endurance in the past year but its going back to normal. Shouldn't have stopped at all. Time'd it badly though, instead of getting into shape during winter, I'm doing the opposite and getting into shape during summer kek.
