If you could only have either Italian or French cuisine for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?

What even is french cuisine besides frogs legs?
French, no doubt.
I am not a fan of tomato sauce, and I also dislike spaghetti and pizza.
ITALIAN
hearty italian
i like basic foodstuffs, fodder of meat, cheese and pasta
French since I cant eat gluten
They eat snails and drowned birds n shit
Italian because i hate snails and Ciabatta > baguettes
french have food , like rly ?
No much of a choose because only italians make good food , french food is garbage tier
If you really think that French cuisine is all about frogs and snails, you should just consider the fact that you're a total moron or an underage faggot who thinks that a pie with tomatoes and pork on could be called "cuisine"
just ate lasagna baby
Galette de sarrasin, Fondue, Raclette, Tartiflette, Bouillabaisse, fricadelle, Ragoût, Blanquette, Choucroute, Crême brulée, Tarte Tatin and a lot of other things.
>2016
>eating food
Lmao is that even a question
I'm already living the dream
EPIC WHITE FLAG MEME xD xD xD
>Japan not liking surrender jokes
heh
I CANT MAKE THIS CHOICE ITS TOO HARD
WE SURVIVE ON FRENCH BREAD AND ITALIAN PIZZA
italian is god-tier but if it's for the rest of my life, definitely french
more variety
Definitly french.
They make god-tier sausages because they actually give a fuck about good pork.
Italian cuisine can be varied you know, you can use any toppings on your pizza.
I can smell this bait from thousands of km
Sorry your food isn't as famous as Italian food, you FUCK
France because I love snails, what Italian cuisine as snails too ahahahhaahahahahahah
>he says, eating from his giant bucket of FRENCH fries
(no belgium isnt a thing fuck off)
>when italians leave their containment thread
Nobody really knows what french or italian food is.
Nobody knows any french food.
Nobody knows any other italian food beside pizzas and spathettis.
spaghetti*
Italian because it doesn't have snails in it.
Just eat the frog legs and leave the snails on the side, idiot.
We eat snails and frogs too
I'm italian and celiac. Life is a pain.
Italian, I don't think I ever really had French cuisine in my life.
I never eaten frogs but I heard they taste good.
I can't even stand the smell of escargot though. It's probably because I'm a pussy but whatever
italian food is god-tier compared to french food.
in my opinion french food is over-rated trash because how french people like being arrogant in everything.
I never tasted italian or french food. Maybe italian, it would be a trouble though, the few times I eat something I'm not used to, like mcdonald's, I fart throughout the rest of the day.
>pain
>french for bread
lel
> italian cuisine is spaghetti with meatballs and pizza
K den
Just a daily reminder that if you're not italian or french, you NEVER really tasted the cuisine of these two countries
Because it's impossible to travel there and avoid tourist traps?
Whatever you say Guillermo
Italian
french because fuck italy
>when a PD supporter leaves his containment board
>implying i don't vote LN
Italian because pizza and pasta
BRAVO LATVIA
WE. DON'T. EAT. FROGS. OR. SNAILS.
#NOTALLFRENCH
We have a lot of different things, not only pizza and pasta, just ask your cousins.
kill yourself
French, way more varied. Better pasta too.
Non, toi
French - I like their variety. They have Mediterranean influence (seafood, tomato, olive oil) and Germanic influence (beer, sausage, eg) and they can be very hearty on their daily cuisine. Their haute cuisine is excellent too and profits from their perfected basics (ways of cooking, stock, cutting,...) they developed over the years and creativity on top of it.
Italian is great too though
You should.
And we eat escargots, not snails.
In English, escargots are the edible ones, and snails are the inedible ones.
Both pretty close to our own so not really a sacrifice, I would just roll a dice and go with the result.
german or english. cant live without a heart attack on a plate
I merely listed my favorites. Don't be so passive aggressive you cuck.
Go for french then.
Savoyard or auvergnat precisely.
give me some names of dishes
I know people are memeing about frogs and snails, but I'd still pick Italian over legit French cuisine. French is good but nothing, I repeat nothing, will ever beat Italian cuisine.
Raclette
Tartiflette
Fondue Savoyarde
Farcement
Gratin de crozets à l'abondance
Aligot
Potée aux choux
Gratin dauphinois
Diots
Then of course you have the more meat-based dishes from Lyon and Bourgogne.
not him but if you want some french food that will make you take 20 kilos a meal it's easy
raclette
cassoulet
fondue
tartiflette
aligot
kouign amann
i hope you like cheese
delicious and guaranteed to make you fat
Mexican food is on par with Italian food desu.
i guess its ok, but it doesnt grab me. im looking for something like this or a full english breakfast
Meh I'm not really a capsaicin junkie, do they have anything without?
>bratwurst
literally considered a meager and bad-quality sausage here.
you mean sausage-based stuff ?
there's choucroute then, also tripes, boudin (black/white/antillais(spicy)), a million different saucissons and saucisses sèches (corsican ones are great imo), andouille, andouillette ...
French food is more diverse so I'd say French.
that i can get behind.
though what is tripes though? isnt tripe in english a soup or something from the stomach of an animal?
that looks delicious. so whats considered the best quality sausage there?
I'd say that the best sausage here is the Saucisse de Morteau, but thats my opinion.
yep actually i wrote tripes but it's not sausages at all nevermind, it's just entrails with sauce now that i think about it
anyways if you go on the markets you can find the best sausages i swear
Some other dishes you might like:
petit salé aux lentilles
potée auvergnate
cassoulet
boeuf bourguignon
daube de boeuf
Carbonade à la flamande
veau marengo
rognons de veau
lapin aux pruneaux
courgettes or tomates farcies
Both Italian and French cuisine have a big amount of regional foods and variety which make it impossible to choose between the two, unless you only consider the most famous dishes
ok youve won my vote. i choose french
We have many plates that are very similar, or that are common in both our countries. It's more about what seems more like a French or an Italian dish.
IIIIIL EST DES NOOOTRES
Having eyes on contemporary French food being developed year by year, it looks having abundance of pasta menu like those in Italian one.
snails
Italian
PORCO DIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I could literally live off pizza for the rest of my life so italy
1945 BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE
Italian. French cuisine is for hipsters and food "critics"
> Gratin dauphinois
You eat dolphins?
Wtf i hate france now
Both are great but french is much more refined in terms of flavor development and culinary art
>You eat dolphins?
No.
It's actually potatoes.
French food is for the critics, italian food is for the people
top geg
frog bbeenis :DDSD
Luxury restaurant cuisine is not all French cuisine, just like Napoli street cuisine isn't all Italian cuisine.
though michelin does seem to only award stars to french restaurants
Italian. Can't live in a world without pizza, lasagna, pasta. I pass the horse sausag, though.
