I have come into the possession of a traffic camera. How do I get it to work. I can't find jack online about it

You turn on the camera

Thank you for calling Sup Forums tech support, please hold the line

that model is wireless
smile you're being recorded

Fuck

Well fuck, looks like they're going to have some solid evidence in that rape case...

Give it back Jamal

I bought it for $1 at a scrap yard I ain't a criminal

>wireless
>I can see three wires running from it

Nice

Holy shit, Tryone; you've done it now.

What should I do with it?

Uncrew it, take out anything that looks like a transmitter

so u gotta download the website called i watchurgrandmaonbrazzers then type in the password which is illputmymandingoinyourdadsoriphuses

I'm pretty sure most wireless cameras have an Ip address, get in using wireshark

Probably not with this one, it seems to be closed circuit, even if it were wireless you would have to connect it to a network for it obtain an ip address.

Steal it

does it have a model number?

Give it back Kevin

Mobilcomm is a wireless communications company. The camera module is, ostensibly, Philips.

I couldn't find too much information online, are there any model numbers or anything on it?

Take some pictures of your crotch and/or butt and give it back.

Yea

install gentoo on it

Leave it on a street corner to scare normies into doing 30 in a 50 zone

What are these ports for? I asked the guys I bought it from for cords and they said they had nothing. Can I buy them off of amazon or something?

inb4 it's fake

It's not

does it come a radar integrated?

How much did you pay for it, and why?

not the fact you have it, i mean there's plenty of literally fake/dummy cameras out there
as in the inside is not more than a blinking LED

I don't think so. From what I see I think there are parts and wires missing.

that's the model number for the enclosure, not the camera.

hmm doesn't have an antenna either, it's probably just passive surveillance with an HDD and to scare normies into slowing down

that enclosure would make a nice windows 10 machine case

because that coax definitely isn't going to an antenna.

$1 no joke

Give it back to Jamal

Phillips cam info

In any case it'd be closed circuit with coax, but he said it didn't come with anything else.
There's probably and HDD inside the camera he just has to crack open the module.

looks like there's a connector for an external antenna, but no actual antenna:

here's a datasheet:
download.p4c.philips.com/files/l/ltc0430_10/ltc0430_10_pss_engie.pdf

12-28VAC or 12-36VDC
pretty flexible, could probably power it with most laptop chargers or desktop psu
what does it use for video out?

enjoy your late 90's digital imaging tech

Can you show us a photo of the back of the camera?

it's just a closed circuit camera

768x492 resolution actually isn't too bad, considering how old the thing is

Dat dun mean yo innocent.

wait, that's the 450/21; OP has the 430. Not sure what output res is.

power obviously isn't wireless but data is.

it's the 4030/21, so it's the lower end NTSC model, which is 512x492

unlike the higher end version, it has no s-video port, only a CVBS (composite) BNC connector
op could use a BNC>RCA adapter to hook it up to a TV and it should work with a standard NTSC set

Clean it up.
Or at least update it with some cool parts unless you value it that much.

Bolt it to the top of your cybercrime wagon

ayy

Here's the back

I don't think there are any parts missing, it's just all disconnected.

If you can pry that camera/lens assembly out, it might have a model number you can search to figure out how to use.

Is a really small camera for such big enclosure

Rip it out and sell it somewhere

Power it with 12V DC and plug the video out into your TV via an RCA cable.

All the wires are connected to this thing and the main box's screws are worn out. What do? How do I disassemble without fucking it.

>he can't undo a wire nut

I unplugged the zoom how do I get this to work?

...

a pair of nice wirecutters and patience

do what other user said and cut the wires
rewire the power to a 12v power supply
and the video out cables to a rca cable and plug it into a tv
if that doesn't do anything its probably too proprietary to be worth fucking with further

I personally would have set it up somewhere highly visible around my property looking at something absolutely mundane. for comical effect. maybe a vegetable garden cam

...

Give it back jamal

You're good user, you're good.

mustard gas

Its not RCA, its BNC but it works pretty much the same way

>get a dvr
>run some rg-59 cable,
>connect it to a 12v power brick lying around the house
>voila you have a shitty camera

Source: I install security cameras

Din du nuffin huh?

Thanks I guess I'll have to grab a rca cable on amazon

put it on a car/van or use it as a web cam
