Using veracrypt instead of truecrypt

>using veracrypt instead of truecrypt
Why would anyone do that?
TrueCrypt was audited and proven to have no vulnerabilies.
There's NO reason to use VeraCrypt.

I don't know OP. Is veracrypt less used?

you're a fucking autist

VeraCrypt was audited too

did you mean LUKS?

>using any form of encryption
what are you hiding?

Your whore (mom) nudes.

This

Why would I tell you faggot?

Are you some top secret hacker spy from Russia? No? Then the Cia doesn't want any of your underaged loli porn you faggot.

I just use VeraCrypt so if my laptop gets stolen, none of my stuff gets sifted through by some nigger.

Not by a trustworthy source. QuarksLab have connections to the French intelligence services and could quite easily have intentionally not reported vulnerabiliities back, forwarding them on to said LEAs instead.

What is best encryption software for Windows?

GNU รท Linux

>not just using LUKS full disk encryption including /boot with libreboot

>encrypting anything ever
wow cia is sure gonna get me for pirating Deus Ex lol

My goal is to make mass surveillance more expensive.

How?

using tor for everything except Sup Forums, using 100% free software with no proprietary firmware or anything else, using QUBES OS, full disk encryption...etc.

I tried using truekrypt for the same reason as to if my shit gets stolen years ago (14-15 maybe) but I just couldn't figure out how to use the thing

Oh and I also don't use social media, don't have a cell phone and I pay for everything in cash.

Not 14-15 years ago, I was probably around that age at the time

LUKS VS VERACRYPT

I like your idea, user. Don't listen to these bustas.

Is anyone going to provide a source for these audits?

nsa.gov/our-work/security-audits/truecrypt
nsa.gov/our-work/security-audits/veracrypt-1-18

except that root privilege exploit in the virtual drive mount

>The NSA audit found no evidence of deliberate backdoors, or any severe design flaws that will make the software insecure in most instances.

You mean these "audits"?
Just sage when you're shitposting next time.

>Just sage when you're shitposting next time.
"No!"

Fucking retard. There are hundreds of reasons to encrypt a volume. Like carrying confidential info from your company in a pendrive.

>carrying confidential info from your company
Reported to FBI.

So if I were to attempt truecrypt again, would I encrypt the whole HDD or folders?

Private data

yes i am agree with both of you.
and we all have to do it

you just create a file-based volume. They are the easiest to setup and they are also portable

Did we ever get the source code? Why did they shut everything down did we ever get an answer?

My Freedom cuck.

>TrueCrypt was audited and proven to have no vulnerabilies.

Wrong, CVE-2015-7358 and CVE-2015-7359 was found by Google Project Zero, which both have been patched in VeraCrypt.

Not to mention VeraCrypts own audit that uncovered several vulnerabilities that has now been patched

>using dead software

You're still on Windows XP for sure.

Hold enter for full access.
CVE-2016-4484 is the most blatant proof Linus is a botnet for TLAs.

Just say nudes you acoustic baguette.

wannacry

No but the sony police might.

ok thanks

>proven to have no vulnerabilies
is it even possible?
