D-did I do good Sup Forums? what distro do I install on this baby?

d-did I do good Sup Forums? what distro do I install on this baby?

Bad IDEA.
THINK about it.

Not a thinkpad 0/10

>true
Thailand?

Install Gentoo.

>thinkpad
I needed something ultra portable
>thailand
yes sherlock

oh god, I hope it was free or you got paid to take it. how can you be this dumb??

I paid $260 for it

Just because it has ((((Lenovo)))) on it doesnt make it magically a good purchase. The Miix is literal shit. I would have gone HP Stream any time of the day.

>Ultraportable
X220

sent it back before you open it, the surface pro is a million times better in every single way

Why do people still trust Lenovo after their multiple scandals involving the installing of spyware on their systems?

openSUSE Leap.

>doing your research AFTER the purchase

Every single fucking time. Open it, wipe your balls on it, open it up if you can, immediately. So you can void the warranty and be stuck with this piece of shit tacky plastic which you cannot return for a refund. You're a retard and you should stop shitting up this board.

Turn it on. What Win 10 build is it running ?

the x220 is nearly 4 times the weights and is way bigger. I only got it because it was so small and portable.

Don't be a fanboy. As much as I love my x220, it wouldn't be considered ultra portable nowdays.

windows home 1607, i'm impressed by the performance.

What kind of fucking Gucci handbag do you carry where you can't carry something as small as an X220? Every year it seems, people can tolerate less and less. I cannot understand how a X220/X230 can be inconveniently big.

that's the point, I don't need to carry a fucking special bag to carry it around. and even if the x220 was a good option it's not like I was going to deal with the ebay bullshit to find one.

So you aim to walk around with this shitty device just in your hand at all times? Are you autistic?

no I have an actual job with 24/7 on call

is it escort

So you work in a job like this and you don't have a bag? What in the fuck?

You can't install Linux in that processors without lagging a lot
t. celeron n2840 owner

No

Return it while you can, don't open it

>loonix on a mobile device

enjoy those 30 minutes of battery life

is this serious? what fucking computer company doesn't accept open box returns? how the fuck would you even KNOW if something was wrong with it?

enjoy your stock rootkit

not OP, is Leap any good?
I've been hesitant about upgrading, currently on 13.2 Harlequin.

It is, but at this point you might as well wait for Leap 42.3 which comes next month

The "rolling release" aspect of it is what bothers me

>d-did I do good Sup Forums?
>LELnovo
No

I'm about to do a clean install of windows 10 pro as loonix is completely broken on it.

Enjoy your hardware level spyware from your chink caretakers

>implying every modern intel system doesn't have hardware-level spyware
the only secure computer is the offline computer, and even then you risk shit like BadUSB

It's almost twice as heavy as the 12" MacBook (1.6kg vs 0.9g) and about 3 times as thicc.

That's what that size of laptop is call you idiot. You don't get to say "well I don't think I'd call it ultraportable so it's not I guess". If it's under 13" it's an ultraportable class laptop. If it's between 13" and 15.6 (while being a thin and light) it's an ultrabook.

>asking Sup Forums if your purchase is good

Just enjoy your new laptop mate.

Nothing is ever "good" according to Sup Forums. You'll be told to "install gentoo" over and over again and when you finally cave in and do to get internet points you'll be called an autist for actually using it.

Sup Forums is never happy.

I fail to see how you have any job that actually requires you to have a laptop but no equipment/not enough equipment that you wouldn't need a bag.

Did you just say thicc?

Depending on your skill level: PCLinuxOS, Void, Crux, Gentoo or Linux From Scratch.

tumbleweed is the rolling release version of opensuse, not leap

the wifi driver is not include in any distro (RTL8723BS) and there seems to be an issue with the X driver for the i915 chipset it uses with the current bios. I found a download link of the arch install iso with the wifi drivers so I'll see how that goes as it works ok in console mode.

My bad, what was the major thing they changed from the older versions? I just remember I didn't upgrade because something bothered me about a new way of doing something.

God thats expensive. I bought mine early this year and paid like 200€. It's good tablet, 4Gb ram is enough for audacity recording, netflix and basic tasks. Keyboard is shit obviously and that touchpad is worst touchpad ever produced.

You did not do good not thinkpad and its an ultra book and if you say you need a portable device you are a retard
