My ancestors (mother side) come from there

They have marvelous coast lines and vivifying atlantic weather.

That's really nice to visit but there isn't much to do, also the porks farms smell

Has too much French influence t.b.h. Other Celtic langauges are better.

French is the best language on Earth. That is precisely why Breton is the best Celtic language.

It's like the French version of Cornwall.

Called "Bretagne" because it hosted a massive influx of Roman-Britons sometime around the 450s. They felt they would be safe under Flavius Aetius' control of the region, the defacto Western Roman dictator of the time. Roman-Briton had been abandoned following a failed uprising a little bit earlier.

The WRE collapse not long after Aetius got murdured... but the britons stayed.

I don't like French.

awesome coast and beaches
nice landscapes
nice old stone houses
also old castles and prehistoric shit
nice people, party hard and late
awesome for sailing and surfing
less brown people than anywhere else in france
9/10 region

You need to rethink your life, friend.

They invaded the region from Cornwall in late Roman times, killed the local romanized Gauls and took their wives, but first cut out their tongues so that their children would know no language other than Breton. Charlemagne failed to conquer the region. Later, the Vikings succeeded in doing so, but the exiled Duke eventually returned from across the sea with an army and, in conjugal alliance with the local Franks, drove the Vikings out again. Thus medieval Brittany was born. 200 years later, Conan of Brittany barbarically publicly proclaimed that he would disregard the sanctioned papal truce and invade Normandy upon William's own invasion of England. William promptly dispatched him by gifting him a pair of poisoned hunting gloves. He was the last Breton duke of Brittany, with later ones being either Norman or local Gallo French. This incorporation of Brittany into the French cultural sphere gave birth to the Arthurian myth cycle as a fusion of Breton motifs and the nascent Anglo-French feudal ideology. Brittany was the last French region not belonging to the Holy Roman Empire to be united with France, in 1539 AD.

>less brown people than anywhere else in france

Honorary part of Britain.

Quite ironic since Britain used to be their home country

Which one of these persons is speaking true Breton? The woman rolls her R's but the guy doesn't.

Imo the woman is a native breton speaker while the guy learned it, because he speaks it as he'd speak french. The original breton pronounciation includes rolled R's.

The sample for Gallo doesn't roll R's though: youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ubGjasm63Y0#t=169

Gallo is a romance language tho, not celtic. And she tends to roll them.

Post the picture of the black dude from Brettony saying he's celtic.

It's a cute picture

Thanks for reminding me I had that saved with me.

What's the Breton equivalent to La Vergonha?

And how do you say in Breton "Abbé Grégoire hated native Europeans, but he would love Arabs"?

>less brown people than anywhere else in france
That's not
Corse :^)
