An ai sifting through all data on the internet, may go through an experience that would grant it a frame of reference we are blind to.

Problem is, the decline in software developer then can no longer be papered over by massive growth in raw CPU performance.
Years ago people could make a spreadsheet in less than 48 KB RAM (yes, that is kilo bytes). Now the average spud drags in 2 GB of libraries before hitting main().
