that depends, if you have an optimus laptop (dual gpu intel + nvidia) than no. if you just have the nvidia card then yes, but install something lightweight, definitly not unity since its a gpu hog.

Had a laptop with the same CPU. It's pretty good for a laptop although I had it about 4 years ago. These temepratures are really high you should check into that. Maybe throw in an SSD and it you can run anything on it.
