>I'm attempting a fusion of the old pasta and the newer pasta, as per request Big thanks for that, user, good work.
Pic. of appreciation.
Asher Roberts
That's okay, just thought I'd see what everyone else thought too.
Camden Johnson
Whats a good replacement for grsec?
Colton Reyes
Has development stopped on grsecurity?
Levi Gomez
No but it enterprise only now and I'm not a large company.
Evan Wilson
Is as good as dead now.
Tyler Butler
That's incredibly shitty.
Dylan Foster
There is linux-hardened and linux-libre-hardened but they have a tiny fraction of grsec's protection.
Jason Walker
Don't forget about RSBAC.
Kevin Roberts
Not really comparable to grsec. The best option seems to be just using the old grsec patches.
Jaxson Garcia
Is there no way someone could fork grsec?
Grayson King
If you get the code and then fork it or share it they terminate your subscription so you don't get access to the new patches. So sort of. I think the hardened gentoo guys might be making one.
Carter Bailey
I always said, the gentoo devs are heroes
Levi Morris
old setup
Wyatt Campbell
If it is going enterprise who cares if you get terminated?
Agreed. >Install Gentoo
Jayden Gomez
what thinkpad is that?
Cameron Morales
What kind of gains did you get?
Ethan King
how many router can you pick up?
Julian King
wokfi looks cool
I need a more powerful access point
Ryan Gray
If net neutrality goes to shit, you could always use a WokFi to connect to a faster business service without having to pay. Although, that would be expressly illegal without consent and no one wants to be a criminal.
Josiah Thomas
to the fuckwit who said blackhat is more realistic than mr robot
try learning something mate. there was no part of mr robots /sec/ scenes that werent realistic.
Luis Rogers
whats the /cyb/ recommend thinkpad?
Ryan Edwards
what about a 1337 h4z0r using nano and gnome?
David Rogers
i think he is talking about the second season where it went fight club. both are good no reason to argue over which is better that shit is just an opinoin
Christian Bennett
>nano no need to fuck around unnecessarily in vim/emacs/what other wanky programs you like
>gnome see above
Julian Bell
I still haven't got around to watching the first episode of the first season.
Bentley Hill
then you trolled me good m80
Lincoln Walker
I'm the hacker formerly known as Pri- Sup Forums.
Cameron Martin
What is cyberpunk? My life. It's like everything in 90's cyberpunk came true: AI, VR, corporations bigger then governments.
Second season? More like from the second half of the first season.
Isaiah Garcia
>cyberpunk >no one wants to be a criminal we should start doing criminal shit

>What are public funded academic and research institutions that produce more innovation than corporations?
Mason Diaz
No, but its anti Totalitarianism and Authoritarianism, so its actually FOR the Libertarian shit and stuff...
Jaxson Brown
I agree but that doesn't make it contrary to certain forms of socialism though.
Brayden Martinez
>What are the corporation funded free as in freedom research and development free to the public that actually produce more quantity and quality than any government shit ever.
Last time I checked the open source and "Free as in freedom" shit is not government owned or (purely) public funded, they are mostly funded with millions by big corps like Google and Microsoft - lookup Tensorflow and other stuff like that, thanks to google.
Colton Howard
x200 +20db at least Over 40
Andrew Diaz
Sure, but the moment it touches the government or remove the freedoms of the ppl and their right to have one is a no no
Hunter Lee
I'm pretty sure you can libreboot those right?
Austin Walker
x220. Taking one train hopping cross country soon.
Samuel Anderson
Absolutely, with a buspirate or similar.
Zachary Bell
And? This would have to increase in public support if you placed greater restriction on corporatisation. What is this obsession with bullionless tradeable unpayable debt?
Ryan Clark
I allready have an x60 but its kinda slow and the latch keeps breaking. I'll look into an x220
Brayden Hill
>+20db at least That's not bad.
Nathaniel Edwards
No one mentioned this things, nor the restrictions. I am all against that.
Chase Adams
Then why do you defend the falsehood that capitalism = STEM progress?
Aaron Rodriguez
I think you need to look up the word "sarcasm".
Wyatt Reyes
College student here doing part-time Tier 1 support going for Comp Sci and learning CCNA, MCSE and Python/Scripting in free time/downtime at work. Putting in my time at Tier 1, getting those certs and graduating and hopefully moving onto a networking position after maybe an internship last semester.
What can I learn now and what does my plan for the next 10 years look like if I want to work in /sec/? Not in the hackerman variety but securing big data.
Grayson Walker
>Tier 1 support so you answer phones
Thomas Morgan
If you know at least basic Python and are somewhat good at math or at least know vectors and linear algebra - start doing ANN and general AI stuff in your free time, just to get to know them, later move to bigger projects and you will thank me in 15-20 years when this is the only good paid job remaining.
Angel Smith
yeah but im not complaining since im not putting money into a till anymore
Camden Bailey
Capitalism can only thrive with as little as possible government regulations and intervention, where wages and prices are determined by the market and competition. A cyberpunk dystopian hell is where corps and state merge, where there is no competition and prices and wages are determined by a single entity, just like a communist society. Capitalism is a friend of cyberpunk, its a friend of the people.
Chase Powell
In a communist society their isn't supposed to be a state or corparations though. USSR (Union of Soviet SOCIALIST republics) had this as a hazy end goal.
John Jackson
I still have Asperger's.
Connor Baker
>Capitalism can only thrive with as little as possible government regulations and intervention Say everything you want, but if government all over the world would cease to exist, in the current conditions shit like Blackwater would put corporation controlled governments in place. So we should deal with that shit first.
Landon Fisher
In communism the state is supposed to acurately represent the people through direct democracy. Its not a seperate entity it more like a collective.
Nolan Williams
in the USSR the state owned everything, which is why my family fled to a better place because they wanted to run their own businesses for the sake of gettin that gwap, in order to raise the living standards for themselves and their children. The smartest thing they've ever done.
that's what they sold, but we got genocide instead fuck communism the whites should've won that civil war
no one is advocating for the absence of government. We only want them out of the market, in order for competition to determine wages and prices so everyone, especially the little guy wins.
Nicholas Martin
>no one is advocating for the absence of government I do
>We only want them out of the market No, you want big oligarchies running without control, when is them who should be abolished before all
Gabriel Russell
Oh for fucks sake why do these threads turn into nothing more than politics? Ya know, theres an entire fucking board for that shit.
Jaxon Morales
The whites were essentially facsists and would have been as authoritarian as the soviets if not more.
Leo Rodriguez
Don't name that circlejerk every time you are losing
Anthony Wood
Because we still have retards spouting the virtues of a failed system.
Evan Kelly
Yes I agree the USSR was bad but that doesn't mean we shouldn't protest corparate tyranny and the exploitation of the working class.
Aaron Parker
>you are losing Im not even participating you fucking spastic.
Ian Rodriguez
here's a pic for a future thread, OP.
also, Http://www.allitebooks.com has a boatload technology related ebooks including security. I just grabbed a few.
additionally, dowse.eu is worth checking out if you want to visualize what is is happening in your network. put that raspberry pi collecting dust to good use.
Isaac Long
the whites were decentralized and all wanted different things, that's why they lost some wanted to restore the monarchy, some wanted a monarchy with a parliament, some wanted to be monarchs, others wanted a republic, a democracy... they all had different visions and there was a lot of infighting one thing they all were though was anti socialist (so anti fascist by their very nature, which is good), anti semite and traditional (which is very good), and by no means as authoritarian as the soviets who genocided, and all but erased one of the grandest, one of the most prominent European cultures off the face of the earth
Jace Wright
>corporate tyranny lets say I'm a CEO, I can only stay in business if I provide goods and services to my customers, I can only produce goods and services by hiring people and paying them, I can only hire people by providing them with better opportunities than the CEO across the street who's trying to keep his business afloat, my customers will only remain if I provide them with goods and services of higher quality and cheaper price than the competition, and the same goes for the CEO across the street that's not even scratching the surface but you get the idea what part of that cycle is in any way tyrannical?
there are plenty of greedy individuals within the corporate world who deserve nothing short of a culling but you have to look at the picture as a whole, someone has to employ you, you have to get all your shit from somewhere, it has to be produced, refined, shipped and distributed our system isn't perfect, but it's the best one we had since the ice age
Landon Myers
That's a nice information and resource drop, thank you, user.
Evan Morgan
>looking at the whole picture >still don't like neo feudalism and wage slave >capitalism says you are in either way What do?

Charles Cruz
If the system doesn't work for you, you can always abstain if you're smart enough to get away with it.
Brandon Smith
the more you give the more you'll get, selfishness has no place in our society
I always refer to what I call the farmer cycle see, a farmer grows food, employs people, pays for all the supplies (they all have to come from somewhere too), distribution networks use trucks, planes, boats to distribute the produce, merchants sell the produce, restaurant owners buy it and the cooks they employ prepare it, the waiters serve it to the corner booth where our friend the farmer is sitting, thus completing the cycle. That is what capitalism is all about, that is why its so beautiful... its a natural system. and this clearly so much better and smarter than everyone else motherfucker wants a free meal stfu and go to work faggot
Ian Ward
>Keep funding the system that fights to destroy your freedoms. How about fuck you?
Dylan White
>>can't make money why?
Jose Carter
This.
Angel Cruz
you're the one trying to take away civil liberties we want to live in a society with plumbing and electricity. That requires a group effort, a pronounced hierarchy your selfishness, disrespect for decency, everything that's been done for you, your hatred for all that is good in this world will be the end of you you are literally evil incarnate, which I'm sure you are very proud of so quit lying and just say you want communism because you want endless suffering for all, especially those that go out of their way to raise your living standards
Cameron Wright
You know what you fucking sheep, wake the fuck up. You don't own your own life, corporations and their government puppets do and could have you killed at a moments notice should they do wish. Totally violating any right you have to your life, as it is under de facto control of the state. In my country, they're trying to censor freedom of speech, the right to be a skeptic. Hike taxes for no reason. Putting people in prison and convicting them for speaking their mind. Starving the poor by removing aid. Fighting wars and proxy wars for no obvious reason (corporate greed). So you want plumbing and electricity? Mhm, that's nice, those luxuries. I want to know I have the right to exist and to live in the way I deem fit, not to be arrested for the opinions I hold. I want basic Human Rights. So yeah, you carry on wanting your 1st World capitalist funfair than we've grown up with. Whilst the adults, those who actually want to better the species and society. So get fucked, you spoilt brat and realise that freedoms and more important than your 20th and 20st century luxury life. The only selfish person here is you: >I want this, I want that! Yeah, well everyone else would like their civil liberties you millennial scumbag.
Nathaniel White
>equating capitalism to technology
Noah Roberts
>*Whilst the adults, those who actually want to better the species and society fight for it. >20th and 21st century luxury life. Sorry about that, I got a little impassioned by your cognitive dissonance.
Carson James
There's more errors, but it is 4am and you're being a fucking retard, so I thought I'd just flame you like you deserve before I cannot even string a semi-cogent clause together (apparently I'm already there).
Juan Lewis
all that shit you said is exactly why my family fled the USSR, because they sought freedom freedom you retarded spoiled brat millennial scumbag grew up with and take for granted how fucking dare you child?
Jace Parker
Take for granted? Did they teach you English? We're trying to stop our countries from turning into USSR-esque authoritarian dictatorships. So your comment is entirely pointless. Unless you want the West you fled to turn into the hellhole you fled? Or maybe you'd like to get locked away in a neo-gulag? Would that make you feel at home?
Joseph Watson
>Duh my family fled, so I don't have to address any of that! >Trying to save your countries?! BUT WHAT ABOUT MY CAPITALISM, I LIKE COMFY LIFE! Yeah, we'd like to keep our freedoms, thanks. :)
Ryder Young
alright, so why are you anti capitalism? a smaller government, less regulation = a healthy competitive market, employment for all, and a less authoritarian government tf is your problem?
freedoms is the best
Adam Williams
Because, at the moment, capitalism is only serving to strengthen the elites, corporations and governments that want to take our freedoms. To fight for freedoms, even if you have to live in an uncomfortable situation EVEN FOR A GENERATION, is worth it. Not to mention, smaller government and less regulation isn't the issue, governments are more corrupt than they've ever been before. As proven, it doesn't work like that, laissez-faire economics is a pipe dream and only worked in the '80s (in the US) because they sacrificed longevity and the political and socioeconomic climate has changed (Wall Street Crash). Also, many smaller corporations aren't the issue; they tend to the ones who hire native employees. Larger corporations, the ones that are an issue and CONTROL Western capitalism hire external workers, because they're cheaper. So no, laissez-faire economics doesn't work to create a HEALTHY MARKET (only temporary) and probably wouldn't work in the first place and certainly not for the long time; it causes what is termed a bubble. What would be better, is tearing down capitalism and the elites, corporations and governments with them and start again.
Alexander Myers
>hire external workers, because they're cheaper exporting labor has its own costs often times its cheaper due to government regulations on hiring locally, if not for insane regulations the cost would even out, exporting labor means importing product, which isn't free and yes I agree that the majority of the people on top are total scum, deserve nothing short of a public execution, and the only ones that will survive an entire system meltdown the only way to go after them is personally and individually tearing down the system will hurt the people you're fighting for the most we don't live in a utopia, there are and will be problems, but the capitalist way of doing something in order to get something in return, is the best and most natural idea we've ever had
Cooper Diaz
>another thread ruined by babbys first politics
Everyone here hates you
Go somewhere else

leftist seem to believe that freedom means having the government force others to do the things you already want to do anyway
Brody Gutierrez
The most cyberpunk of all is AR. Think Serial Experiments Lain. We ain't there yet although pic related comes close. Company is ODG. Check or the R8's.
Owen Turner

reminder that the only true libertarianism if leftist.
>We are especially proud to present you Tails 3.0, the first version of Tails based on Debian 9 (Stretch). It brings a completely new startup and shutdown experience, a lot of polishing to the desktop, security improvements in depth, and major upgrades to a lot of the included software.
