Mouse Thread

Can I adjust the DPI of my DeathAdder 2013 without downloading the Razer software or signing up for their shit. You didn't have to do this back when I bought the mouse.

Does Zowie force you to download their software and sign up for crap if you want to adjust settings?

Zowie has no software. You need to use software with Deathadders. Not sure of the 2013 version though. It's best if you ask this on an actual mouse forum (ocn) they know their stuff usually.

They removed that feature on the 2013 model. My ancient diamondback 3g was able to switch by holding a side button and scrolling with the wheel, then Razer went full retard requiring synapse for every adjustment since then.

Zowie is god-tier especially before benq models. To answer, no, they don't have any drivers or bundled soft. DPI switcher on my FK1 is on the bottom and liftoff distance switches by holding specific buttons while connecting to usb. Same with left handed duplicate buttons / mode.

my deathadder elite doesnt need the software to quick adjust the DPI, but if you want display notifications or you want to custom tweak it, you need the software

G403 wired worth it?

That or mionix castor or pure owl eye?

Roccat Kone Pure Owl Eye is god tier.

i retired my g9 in favor of a g900 yesterday
g900 at msrp costs like 1/3rd of what it takes to get a new g9
fuck you logitech

>mionix naos 7000 sold out everywhere
>third party sellers list it for $60
Fuck, and amazon was selling it for $30 a few weeks ago too. Now I can't get a good palm mouse.

is tiny tho

I should have listen to Sup Forums, compare to my G502 this mouse feel cheap. Less buttons, wheel can't do a side scrolling, plastic and coating is inferior.
But the shape feel damn good in my hand. Perfectly fit for my palm grip. Now my G502 is rest in the box.

I miss the hyper scroll wheel already.

You should try this mouse, Cooler Master Sentinel 3.

Posted this as its own thread before and got no real answer:

I see the specs listed for gaming mice say things like 20G, 30G, of acceration, 100 inches or 400 inches per second, but I have no idea how fast I move my mouse normally so I don't know if it would help.

Is there any software to measure my current mouse movement speed/acceleration?

Would a non-pro gamer even benefit from a mouse that does >20G/300ips?

What's the best Sanwa Trackball?

For gaming you dont want more than 800dpi and especially no acceleration. For general use who cares. Those huge numbers are just there to trick normies who think more = better.

who here hates sniper buttons?

Higher acceleration number mean it could track your mouse better with higher move speed before the sensor can't track your mouse. Don't confused with "resolution error versus speed" or so called gamer "acceleration".

If you use your mouse at very low DPI, such as 800 DPI, you might want the higher acceleration so you could move your mouse faster without losing any track.

I'm digging the 2000s aesthetic

>Online sign up to adjust mouse settings
I always knew Razer was full of shit but this is really next level. What's next? a monthly fee?

>What's next?
Mouse telemetry.

>Mouse telemetry.

>Tracks your clicking of dragon dildo purchases and tranny foot porn hyperlinks.

actual selectable dpi is more useful, imo. You don't use it that often but its nice to have the option.
>meme example related.

Excusse me, masterrace coming through

i agree. the original kone pure was perfect

Soft plastic cable > braided cable
Seriously, they should stop using "premium" braided cable.

Seems like logishit is the only company that always gets frayed cables

Perfect mouse coming through

>handlets

fray or not, braided cable still stiffer than normal cable.

>tfw all mice you become fingertip mice in your hands

Laser or optical for games?
What do you think, senpaitachi

Optical because mouse pad exist.

Got an EC1 a week ago. The mouse wheel feels like absolute garbage, sounds creaky, gets stuck when clicking etc. Combine that with a $60 mouse that uses an outdated sensor and has way too stiff buttons I'm pretty sure I've been memed. Too bad, I liked the fact that it's driverless and doesn't look like gaymen ricer shit.

Anyways god bless returns policies, I'll try a Logitech G403 next.

look up the Qpad 5K Pro

>laser
fuck no.

not sure what the problem is with you guys not liking lasers. ive had my steelseries sensei for over 6 years with no complaints whatsoever

Agreed.

i got an email from logishit for a 30% off coupon thing. so ill be copping a g203

would Zowie fk1 be a good replacement for Razer Lachesis? Don't want to get any Razer stuff, and fk1 looks so damn simple and comfy

Is it true you shouldn't clean our mouse with isopropyl alcohol?

big upgrade

nice double dubs. i just use a wet cloth and wipe it off. i wouldnt see a problem with using isopropyl unless it peels the paint off or something

I just got my g502 and didn't see the point of it until i set the shift to be higher than the normal dpi. Once I did that, I actually liked it a lot.

Lol not fingertipping in 2017

I prefer it to my G502 because it's much lighter but I wish it were smaller for my fingertip grip.
youtube.com/watch?v=ogzOpkM_ouo

I wish it were wider at ring & pinky so I could palm grip that. 3366 such a great sensor.

Does the G502 need any software to adjust basic settings like DPI or button mapping?

Yes if you want more than preset DPI, but you will need that for buttons mapping and macro anyways.

After you set it up the DPI settings and assignments are saved to the mouse's memory so you can uninstall LGS afterwards.

Just purchased for ~$58. This better not be a shit meme mouse.

And yes, they're called Logicool in Japan because some shitty company owned the Logitech name here.

>Logicool
All of my why.

Use that mouse before, pretty good actually. But I don't like that because LED can't turn off completely.

Zowie seems to have gone to complete shit since benq purchased them, for instance the new white glossy ones, many scrollwheels are getting stuck down and it's a simple problem of the wheel holder being too narrow so it nips the wheel in. Totally unacceptable.

It's because there's already a company called Logitech in asia

>yen
post pics of your apartment, weeb

>asia
Only in Japan, the rest of the world is Logitech.
But LogiCOOL, did they making an electrical fan now?

Hey Sup Forums I've been looking for a new mouse to use for my laptop (mostly Maya 3D, photoshop, etc.). I need something with good precision and that you would recommend.

I would really really really appreciate if you could make it a bluetooth one (if possible), because my usb ports are all used up (drawing tablets, and other stuff). I don't want to get a usb hub unless I absolutely needed (which is why I'm asking you guys for help)

Been thinking of pic related, but not sure how well it performs under bluetooth. What are my options?

Dream Machines sell their own version, since the Naos shape is an OEM mold. Look up the DM2 COMFY.

>MX Master
>Bluetooth

Boy I have bad news for you...

Any other options?

Zowie in general's a meme. Their shapes may be god tier, but everything else is ass. I still don't know which chucklefuck decided their mouse wheels are usuable, much less comfortable.

Your only real option is the Logitech M557, unless you're willing to dive into chink mice.

I have a steelseries rival, the oldest model

It's quite shitty. I had to completely take out the rubber pad on it because it was just coming off like those shitty PS1 dual shock controllers. The texture could be better too. I need to mention that the mouse wheels registers clicks twice, so when I middle click on tabs to close em, sometimes I close 2 or even 3.

So I might want to get a new mouse.

My requirements: I just need a decent sensor, 2 side buttons and maybe software that works across different OSes because I sometimes connect this thing to a mac and steelseries software usually fixes any acceleration issues.

Any good alternatives at the moment?

objectively best mouse ever

Just ordered DM1 pro S (matte)

what am I in for?

Stiff buttons and mouse wheel.

G403.

Got one of these from amazon for like $60 after tax about a year ago. It's by far the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. The size, the weight, the shape, the texture, everything about it feels like it was made for my hand. I know braided cables are contentious but I love that, too, as well as the lights (inb4 hurr gamer gtfo)

But quite frankly, it's a piece of shit. The middle button/scroll wheel has been deteriorating for six months to the point that middle clicking works one in ten times if I'm lucky. I wish there was a mouse just like this except bit cobbled together with chink shit internals.

Um, I just turned mine off. Did you use the Logitech Gaming Software?

breaks my heart.

I have an "original" FK2 and it's great.

Try that in dark room.
