he's at it again, guy makes great presentations with a wtf of a title

one trick pony who is constantly leaving shit to do other shit

god i love bryans presentations

He's gonna be right once he make a talk on "Why SUSE sucks", then he'll be right

...

We've already moved on to apps. I guess that's fair reason for W3C to scale their standards back to purely HTML but the point of the video is moot. The www is already dead.

He claims that CNN takes 400 megs of ram to render. I see this. Am I retarded or is he lying?

>The World Wide Web Sucks
if you needed a lecture to find that out, idk man, wrong board?

javascript is the reason

BTFO

Try loading it without ublock

Ads are the reason

>websites should render in ncsa mosaic or they suck

Lunduke is always right.
And yes the WWW sucks but I wonder if he has the same reasons as me to say it, although I doubt it.
Let's see.

pretty much
his presentations are pointless as always

It takes 1GB for me
WTF MOZILLA

I didn't watch it, but yes, it sucks.

I'm surprised things like decentralized websites aren't more popular, at least for piracy. That would eliminate all takedowns of sites like What.cd.

is that the actual ram usage or do browsers just reserve that much

if that much ram is available and the browser can use it for whatever, why not use it?

What do you mean by that? Something similar to Freenet or GNUnet?

>32bit
>Ublock enabled

Yes, exactly. I tried ZeroNet recently, it worked pretty well.

The web sucks by the same reasons everything else sucks too. Once something reached wide market appeal they have to dumb it down to the general population. It has happened with every single invention.

Computers have their own set of problems. Dumbing down is unfortunate, but it's nothing compared to the insane amount of complexity that has built up making systems almost completely unknowable.

try counting your browser's background processes

i'd believe the 400mb claim for chrome at least

"modern web" is so fucking bloated these days

Yeah x86 is garbage
