Also it's cool that we export lots of cars, that we still have a motor industry in this country. But unfortunately they're all foreign. Nissan and Mini (owned by BMW) are two of the biggest. And then all the "British" car companies that remain are foreign-owned: Bentley (owned by VW), Rolls Royce (owned by BMW), Jaguar Land Rover (owned by Tata).
Aston Martin are still British though (for now). And we are still the world leaders in many areas of automotive engineering, the biggest example being F1. At least I can take some comfort from that.
