What are some viable options for building tiny PCs?

Pic related is called gigabyte BRIX, but it's somewhat underpowered for my needs.

I would like something with 3 HDMI outputs, 8-16GB of RAM, 500GB (or more) of storage, and something with the power of an i5. I'm not really a gamer so I don't need a very powerful GPU. Can it be built in a tiny case (nano ITX size, maybe a bit larger), or should I think about something bigger?

>it's somewhat underpowered for my needs.
>im not a gamer

Are you actually retarded or just pretending?

He needs the power so he can install gentoo faster.

I will be using it mainly for programming and browsing, plus watching movies. I don't need a "gaming" gear because I'm not a kid, but I'd like a setup that will feel fast and responsive with a couple of open projects and browser windows.

its like an I5 is weak

I passed cs101 with a fucking athlon laptop

i5 is completely sufficient for my purposes. Maybe even an i3.

No, a core 2 duo is fully sufficient

I got a feeling you never touched a computer in your life

Are you a total retard?

your ugly asshole supports dual socket

that thing obviously doesnt have enough hdmi slots == underpowered for OPs needs

If NUCs are insufficient, than you're stuck with mini ITX.

Just by 800 mini OP. It's cute as fuck.

redefine need of nano itx over mitx for obvious diminishing returns

why would you want to pay more to get less

Youre best looking at a mini itx system with support for a full height gpu
The cooler master elite 110 is mitx and uses an atx powet supply, and a full height 2 slot gpu. Though not too long of a card.

Hes not wrong though.
For shitposting or watching movies? A core2duo is enough
Its just dumb to build a 775 machine in 2017

Does NUC have the best processors or is there competition?

Brix and NUC both have i7 models.

>Powerful
>Form factor+connectivity
Pick one.

Can someone explain the small-form factor meme?
Is space or looks that much of a premium to toss every advantage that a desktop has and lock yourself to basically laptop specs?

Media centers for living rooms, kitchens and such.
Being able to strap a tiny computer to the back of a monitor and keep it all neat and compact is a really attractive idea.

I'd rather see monitors come with a power-passthru socket on them to deal with this, however.
Literally just needs to be a USB3 C port or similar powered port, don't need the hub or anything, just the correct power.
These things don't need much to run.

Im looking for the same sort of thing.

At least 8gb.
I5 preferrably
Low power draw
And at least 2 gigabit ports.

So far the chink shit seems to fit the bill but at $550 its a bit out of the price range.
