So I have a mATX Z170 board when Skylake was just out.

Now there's literally affordable 6core and 8core offerings from Intel (I don't like AMD).

So what the heck, what can I do with this board? I have a 6700k in it. Will putting in a 7700k help at all?

I'd like to go 8 core in the near future. I wish x299 came out last year I would totally get the 7820x.

x299 and the CPUs are cheaper than x99 because AMD kikeripper will btfo it for cheaper.
back to wherever the fuck you came from.

BETTAH BUY MOAHR INTEL PRODUCTS

What are you even asking? You can do whatever you want with it

You seem angry.

I need Intel because I dual boot with macOS you meanie.

I'm asking if it's worth upgrading to 7700k (this board supports it). Or should I move to x299 since coffee lake is around the corner, z270 is not worth it.

Why does it matter if X299 came out last year or this year?

kill yourself tech illiterate fag

You're not funny.

What's your 6700k running at?

Because I wanted to get affordable 6-8 Core CPUs but none were out. (I do a lot of media related work).

No!

Stock at the moment. I did go to 4.5Ghz before for a while and it was fine, but it was acting a little weird (spikes even during idle) so I put it back to stock.

>buying X299

Good goy

>X299
>affordable
Maybe Intel changed from "buttrape no lube" to "buttrape with lube", but it's still buttrape.

It's faster than Gayzen in most benchmarks.

Nein.

Mobos are around $250, 6core 7800x runs at $389

Stil not bad.

I literally paid $220 for the Z170 ROG Gaymen mobo and $320 for the 6700k last year.

Those are low clock speed per core CPUs breh.

>It's faster than Gayzen in most benchmarks.
Not compared to the 7700k

>Gayzen
You can't be here until you're 18 bud

Cinebench is generally considered one of the more neutral benchmarks out there. Compared to 1600X it's 8% faster multicore and 14% faster single core. 1600X uses 95 watts vs 7800X 140 watts. And it costs twice as much.

I'm not poor

What you think you are: BIG DICK MONEY SPENDER BLING BLING CHECK OUT MY TOP OF THE LINE INTEL POORFAGS SWERVE
What you really are: Idiot wasting your money on overpriced, overheating crap

>literally affordable
>I'm not poor

Seeing a bit of a contradiction there, buddy. Maybe you should shell out the big bucks for the 10 core or even the 12+ core socketmelters when they come out.

Not really, I just want the best performance and am willing to pay for it

Dude there was a good bench out there, very neutral, and the Skylake-X beat the shit out of Gayzen.

AMD is for poor people.

Wow, look at all those poorfags. Let's all laugh at them.

yes m8 just buy 7700k or 7820x
what could possibly go wrong

79/78xx has a new socket...

>79/78xx has a new socket...
>A socket change a year, keeps the goy in fear

HEDT and mainstream sockets are different you moron.

AMD does the same thing.

Coffee Lake is going to have a mainstream socket with 6core support.

You're not funny.

Kek, right after one another
