What the's best compiler/editor to learn C on?

vi and gcc

shut up and do it

I am but I find codeblocks a pain to use

gcc/gedit

this

I would but I'm using Windows

dev c++ fo lyfe

then install msys2 and install gcc and vim through it

rustc/notepad

...

tcc/geany

Windows: dev-c++
Linux: gcc
Mac: kys

lucky for you there's only one relevant compiler/editor on windows, don't fall for mingw trash like devcpp

gcc with your choice of text editor. people care a lot about editor, but it doesn't really matter that much. I use gedit + gcc + make. I just write my own makefiles.

clang/any decent editor

this, I especially agree on the last line.

Windows: kys

You shouldn't be using an IDE while you are learning the language.

VS a shit

Makes no difference, go read a book

>1366
your screen is shit

I agree. I only use IDEs when I have to. When learning a new language you need to remember how to type it out instead of relying on the editor to finish the shit for you.

>What are laptops

>using an antivirus

Vi or vim and gcc

avast has gone to shit if you haven't noticed. It is crapware on more platforms than just windows.

>Using windows

All glories to devc++

>I'm using Windows

Then how about doing something about that?

vim + clang

/thread

This desu.

I've been using gcc and gdb. Writing shit in notepad++.

Unsure how to properly use makefiles so I've just been calling gcc and a bunch of options each time.

Not a C compiler.

/thread

emacs + gcc

Clang bitch
LLVM is the way to go faggots
gcc is garbage
Fucking regard writes and release it as "free" and all these muh free software fags fall for the meme

that's a pain in the ass, if you're using windows at least use batch files

that image is fucking gold
