The new one is fucking fantastic. Upgrading is stupid easy. Base models come with a TN panel, and the IPS panel is a $50 option, but you can upgrade it at home with just a screwdriver if you order an IPS screen from Amazon.

I'd just get the new version. You'd have to talk them down to 650-700 pounds for it to be worth it, but it is a fantastic gaming laptop and a good value buy. But the new one is better if you're going to spend that much money.

No. If you absolutely need one, you need to get it with at least a 1060, otherwise it's not worth it. Save up if you need to.

Last years model had a gen 6 intel CPU with the 960. THIS years model has a 7th gen paired with a 1050/1050Ti
