Any Supercux around?

Do you EQ them?

GLORIOUS SUPERLUX MASTER RACE REPORTING IN

PROVE YOUR SNAPHEISER, SNAPPERDYNAMIC SNAPKG OR AUDIO-SNAPNICA CAN DO THIS

THE CHINKS WIN ONCE AGAIN

Friendly reminder.

Are those the cosmos pads? I have those on my 668bs

Idol trash brushed his teeth and is going to bed.
What's your setup like, user?

...

Night night, user!

The great thing about chink is that if it snaps, while not modular, at the very least, the whole is cheap.

Lmao. That Sennheiser clamp's fucking your head up, user.

Yeah, it's almost as funny as saying HD600 is uncomfortable.

>Leddit

Kinda have to since bass extention's pretty ass past under 50Hz and I'm not too fond of the midbass. Pic related sounds closer to neutral going off the Headroom raw response.
They sound good for their price but that's all they have going for them, especially their clones.
Samson SR950 pads. I used to have Cosmos pads on them but the subbass rolled off too much and bass in general was more in the background. The SR950 pads brought the sub closer to neutral and EQ helps.

Their treble is a much bigger issue than their bass.

I just remembered to mention that the HD650s sound exactly like the HS8 monitors

I don't mind the treble after having 681's for a year before they shit the bed. I thought the 681's were brighter though that's just from memory.

Of course they sound like accurate speakers. They're Sennperior.

>I don't mind the treble
Careful there, you'll trigger the Sennheiser owners who can't deal with a little treble.

681s are brighter going by measurements but 668bs still have some nasty, peaky treble.

what are ya'll using to run your vintage headphones with nutso impedance like 2k ohms?

Perfection

They'll think I blast them at 2 o' clock on Magni2 and toss around hiss or someshit.
It's not bad once you get used to it. It wasn't bad at all coming from 681's though Skullcandy Hesh2 to 681 was fucking murder cuz I didn't know better before getting the Superluxes.

>It's not bad once you get used to it.
Superlux HD668b and Beyerdynamic DT880: just like receiving anal sex.

Almost like your ears can adapt huh, Mr. Shitposter-kun?

I honestly plan on getting DT880 Pros. It's not recieving anal sex if it's not going up my ass. Just good ASMR.

d-delet dis!!

>just like receiving anal sex.
Nothing wrong with that. I also like the feeling of the snappy whiplash i receive from my HD600.

I pity people not being able to experience good speakers / monitors. Headphones are great, comfy for some occasions but speakers are just on another league.

Why not just pay someone to do that for you? At least they don't charge $100+ for every lash.

dollar for dollar headphones shit on speakers

>Dollar for dollar
Until you reach a certain price point. What are you, poor?

How else would they be able to shitpost their HD 600s?

When it comes to speakers that cost $20k I'm poor

They don't need to be expensive. Monitors like are pretty cheap. But they aren't for your living room, the best sound will be 1-2 meters away from them

>$20K
>What it costs for speakers to outperform headphones
>Being this delusional
Lmao; and i'm still going to call you poor, you poorfag!

outperform most headphones that aren't Our Holy HD600.

...

8" driver and 38hz on the low end is not gonna cut it for bass, needs a sub.

they do sub just fine, you will hear it as intended

Ye we can only handle flat response curves.

>HD 600
>Flat

>HD600 treble
>flat
Lol.

Correct. Flat.

so is there any point to getting a K7XX now when HD6XX is a thing? How bad did the build quality end up being on the K7XX? Based on some discussion I'm reading online, it is apparently chinkshit-tier but was great value for $200 (until the HD6XX came out).

Now post another! another!

Here, have a middle finger of non-flatness.

We aren't talking about the DT880s, user. Now post another and make me laugh ;)

Im at a yard sale right now, there's a DT990 for 40 dollars.

Should I cop?

Eh, why not? If you don't like 'em, you can always resell them if they work properly.

Sure. It's a decent candidate for equalization.

what are the best ~100$ IEM's i can get from
amazon.com?
rn i'm looking at the Shure SE215, but my only gripe is that they don't have a skip track function for android.

Inline controls just add two more sets of solders that can break. It's best to avoid them.

Fuck yes.
Tennmak Pro is a better SE215 in everyway except build which is expected from Chi-Fi IEM's.

Seems to be the 250ohm variety, dont have a source to test it with. And the pads need replacing.

I'll pick it up anyways.

The pads will cost as much as you'll pay for the headphones. I wouldn't recommend buying them in that case. You'd end up with better sounding headphones by spending $50 on SHP9500.

now that Sennheiser is producing HD599s and HD559s

what happens next?!

if you dont udnerstand what i mean.. sennheiser has HD600s...

Nah, Sennheiser will keep on milking their popularity.

HD599.5 soon with neet reflex tech

WTF I just found out HD600's are made in Ireland. This is very unsettling.

How so?

Are phone DACs a meme? I've been looking for a budget phone and found one that looks good but its DAC isn't even listed in the specs. Should I be worried?

Some cheaper phones like mine are very underpowered and hiss with sensitive iems

Is there a word for the squishy parts of earbuds?

I don't want some Irish potato assembling my headphones. Nothing good comes from Ireland.

Tips. There's silicone for the rubber tips and there's foam tips.

How fat is your head?

Rather have Chinese?

Fuck I miss my HD 598's. Comfy as fuck, and amazing sound.
I really look forward to the day when I can afford decent quality audio products and have the time to use them

I have some Sony MDR-V7's and they are fucking awesome

Wearing them now. Can verify they are comfy as fuck.

Pic related, the best ones I've owned so far. They came with my zune.
I really liked how they sounded. Haven't had them for a million years

Also, for the people who use the headphones that need a DAC, is it worth it? Can you use them with your phone or whatever else without them being shit?
Seems like a pain. But, I don't really know anything about this stuff.

>for the people who use the headphones that need a DAC
All headphones need a dac, you're thinking of amp
>Can you use them with your phone or whatever else without them being shit?
It depends on the headphones, they might get loud enough, they might not.

>All headphones need a dac, you're thinking of amp
Yeah.
>they might get loud enough, they might not.
I guess it's not that big of a deal then.

Are superchinks hd668b still worth it in 2017?

Not too large, but large enough to snap the chink-shit plastic ;)

Fucking cancer anime shit.

No; SHP9500 aren't much more expensive and are vastly superior.

Can decent motherboards these days drive an HD600 sufficiently? I've got a Gigabyte Gaming 3 AB350, it's got ALC 1220 and the audio on it is supposedly pretty good.

an amplifier because impedance is one link in the chain

Mee M6 Pro

my hyper x cloud headphones started not working on the left headphone because the cord needs to be in the right position to connect to it, so it just cuts off all the time.

whats a comfy headphone I can use that will go well with my AMD z270e motherboards high end sound card? I dont think id spend $300, but would there be a comfy ~$100-$150 headphone that would compliment my high end sound card thats comfy for gaming?

actually maybe up to $200 if its really worth it,

forgot to add that I want durability too. no point in a nice headphone if it fucking breaks

I've pretty much lived with shitty headphones all my life, so comfort isn't that much of a problem for me. I'd prefer high quality sound over comfortable headphones.

>Sound Signature
Not too important, but would prefer Bassy.

Try doing the detachable cable mod. Or get an SHP 9500 + vmoda boompro.

To replace this thing you mean?

My dad's an electrical engineer so I guess he could do it for me.

A friend gave me a pair of old m50x's for free.

They are in horrible condition.

The ear pads and headband are peeling, and both hinges snapped.

I wedged a piece of metal in each to stop the ear cups from bending outwards.

Where do I buy replacement parts for these?

thanks

Yes, something like this. The SHP9500 are great and real comfy though.

youtube.com/watch?v=VGQZKPsvpEA

I have an old pair headphones that I loved to use, the earpads are moldy and the headband wrecked, I'd like to salvage the drivers though, I can niggerrig some grills and buy some earpads, I wouldn't know how to make a headband though.

Yeah it should, mines a z97m from asus and does the job pretty decently.

M40X + leather brainwavz earpads.
