>Still using a browser designed solely for the purpose of spying of its users
Why would you keep doing this to yourself?

Other urls found in this thread:

works outta the box

But I don't.

I'm a sucker for these threads. I wonder what shitty browsers I will try this time before I go back to Firefox and wait for the High Sierra bugs get resolved.

to be honest, Chrome is absolutely the best browser but I still use firefox because I'm embarrassed about jacking off to Avril Lavigne videos and I figure LESS people know about that if I use FF than a big google browser

As far as the browser is concerned you're just watching Avril Lavigne videos

that's even more embarrassing than jacking off to them, just watching them would be gay as hell

but I use pale moon

Suggest me some good avril videos that are easy to jack off to.

girlfriend and the one where she wears leather pants 'what the hell'. i'm so burnt on on porn sometimes i just want an innocent wank nawmean?

Can I ask why you use Pale Moon over Ice Cat?

I've been thinking of switching from Ice Cat as I don't want to go back to the Chrome and Firefox botnets. Pale Moon seems to be the only other option.

>What it feels like to use a heavily modified Firefox that you wrote and compiled your own plugins for

Fuck Chrome, but in 2017 and knowing what we know about Mozilla, what type of idiot would use Firefox?

Pale Moon is a fork of Firefox that forked very early and doesn't have full Firefox plugin support, but has its own plugin community and to some extent can run a few Firefox plugins.

IceCat and IceWeasel are exactly the same as Firefox but with the logo changed since the logo is proprietary. It's also in the hands of GNU developers and not Mozilla developers, so its inherently more trustworthy. Honestly, Pale Moon is beginning to disappoint me with its rate of progress.

embracing the botnet and not going full tinfoil feels great

Thanks for responding. I guess I'll stick with IceCat for the time being.

Kinda upset over the state of browsers these days and all the botnet shit going on.

Idiots like you deserve to have your machines pwned and embarrassing info dumped into your boss' email.

It's the only way you'll learn that what the government does to your computer would be considering hacking if done by anyone else.

IT'S LITERALLY THE SAME FUCKING THING EXCEPT CHROMIUM IS OPEN SOURCE IT'S STILL A FUCKING BOTNET IT STILL IS CONNECTED TO GOOGLE WHY CANT YOU FUCKING SHILLS UNDERSTAND THAT

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Pale moon has a bookmark bar

sleep tight porker!
>one of these days I'll try that with electron, like Brendan Eich did

im behind 7 vpns dude can't catch me

>"spies on it's users"
>still the fastest browser available
tides come in, tides go out, you cant explain that

Because it is by far the best browser in terms of design and features imo and I don't care about the data they take.

>fastest
They're literally all the same on modern PCs from a practical point of view.

my PC is modern as fuck and Chrome is noticeably faster than Firefox. I still use Firefox for privacy concerns and the nicer icon though

fucking fuck no m80, i have to use them all for cross platform web testing and everything about chrome is noticeably faster

Um, sweetie, it's open source. That means Linux Torvalds personally vetted it himself.

How can I get IceCat for my mac, and will it be updated with the rest of them

When not using modified firefox/Tor or i2p, I rather like DuckDuckGo

>sweetieposting

Firefox users, if I have two versions of Firefox installed (Beta and Nightly) and I refresh one does it refresh the other?

I installed Dillo earlier.
I uninstalled it ten minutes afterwards

How does a twelve year old manage so many vpns?

because it's faster, better, more supportive, and I don't care because they can watch me fap to yiff for all I care. I'm not doing anything illegal, and they can't do shit, so what's the big deal?

nice shilling, jewgle

I have high hopes for the Brave Browser. I'm hoping this will uncuck my internet activity and deliver me from evil.

I just switched back to Firefox, to be honest. I'm a winfag so I've decided to switch to Edge as soon as it has something like uMatrix, but I realized that Edge lacking uMatrix was no reason to stick with Chrome for the time being. I don't give a fuck about social justice or JavaScript benchmarks or whatever excuse you retards use to shit on Firefox.

>because its open source it means that goooogle cannot spie on me
>and also being open source it takes up less wam on my computer
>and and and being open source im not connected to bo..botnet whatever that is

Fucking Chromium retards don't get it.

Why is Firefox using so much memory and cpu? Is it a settings issue?

>Honestly, Pale Moon is beginning to disappoint me with its rate of progress.
Pale Moon is fine. 90% of Firefox' problems wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for "progress".

if by "progress" you mean sjws with agendas i agree

That's half of the problem, but the other half is "progress" as in making retarded UI changes for the sake of changes, following the shitty trends without having clue what they're doing instead of setting good trends, shifting from usability and customisability for power users to removing vital options and nannying retards, and just fixing something that was already fucking perfect.

Fuck sjws and their bullshit agendas that have no place in tech, I don't know how much they overlap with the issues that Firefox is ridden with and whether they are the cause or just a symptom, but I know for sure they are not the whole story.

I've been using Firefox since it was fucking Phoenix 0.1, things started going to shit after 3.6, and it's been in unrecoverable spin ever since they started the rapid versioning horseshit.

You don't need uMatrix, run Ublock in medium block for everything; this is what the developer for Ublock uses.

Because I already have an android phone, gmail account and gdrive.

There's literally fuck all google doesn;t know about me already.

I want an easy life, I'm willing to give up some of my privacy to the botnet for it, you literally cannot live in a world where you are not getting tracked anyway.

Well, unless your a hermit.

The only reason I use Chrome is because I have too many bookmarks and passwords saved for convenience across different devices. I am aware that bookmarks can be exported but paswords? I dunno.

How do I block "3rd party cookies" and "all plugins" by default on uBlock as gorhill does?

>power users
Are often delusional retards. Anything that keeps the ``power users'' down is a good move. Maybe if Mozilla is lucky, all their remaining power users will move to Chrome and spew their vitriol in Google's general direction.

ebin
the power users are usually the developers contributing actually useful plugins and shit to the community while shitzilla shits as hard as they can down their throats

>spying

Exhibitionism, etc...

chrome just werks

Is seamonkey any good or does that track you as well due to it being based on firefox? I really like it so far and it has a html editor thats sorta like dreamweaver so that is usefull.

What about opera as well?

Thanks y'all, im not sure what browser to use.

I switched back when a single tab would crash firefox. Ive been wanting to go back to firefox for tree style tabs and downthemall but I don't see the point anymore with the upcoming changes .

because it just works
because its fast
because it supports more extensions that i use than any other browers.

But I haven't used Chrome since 2008

The

>m-muh privacy

Are literally the vegans of the technology world. I really need to update my filter list.

I refuse to believe people actually think that way, you're clearly a shill or at the very least a troll outside of his containment

because I am not on the autism spectrum and I don't get paranoid about the NSA spying after me and "muh botnetz" just because I enabled Sync so I can access my bookmarks on the laptop AND the phone and don't have to search for all the obscure extensions just because I switched computers

privacyfags should have their backs against a wall and be shot in the head with the smallest pistol cartridge available so we don't waste more resources to them than we absolutely have to

but it won't happen, so they will keep using their obscure and shit-tier browsers which are so shit most websites automatically load the mobile version because it doesn't support anything written after 2004

...

>Nik
Excuse me?

>Nik
He's a Sup Forumsent and that is essentially his ungoogled chromium but up to date, no unique indentifer, no chromium browser agent, no webrtc, no google sync shit, no drm/widevine shit etc you get the point, also WPO, it's god tier chromium, add uBlock Origin and bam, beautiful.

Ah, thanks for the explanation

Note if you do want to watch Netflix you need the Widevine version...

I'll be stuck to Firefox forks until I can completely change the look of any Chrome fork. I can set almost any Firefox to any look I want, but fuck chrome desu.

Chrome has ugly font rendering, a shitty profile button forever in the title bar and I don't like how the interface work. Like when you download something, a fuckhuge bar on the bottom pops up. So fucking retarded. On Firefox it's just a small button on the top of the screen next to the address bar, out of the way but easily accessible.

send link icecat for windows.

RobRich's builds are better and faster.

Yes, you do

Doubt it, WPO is better than Clang, do you have any proof of that?

I was more talking about his vs2017 build.

How long have you been using it for? I've been using Nik's WPOs for months, I'll download it and give it a try and wonder if I'll feel or see any improvements.

Not for very long to be honest. I keep switching between Firefox Nightly and different Chromium builds because of autism I guess. The difference isn't large but when I'm loading in multiple webms at once, or trying to load a long page with several videos autoplaying the vs2017 build has been slightly faster for me.

Sounds good but I'm curious of your PC specs incase that might have something to do with it affecting performance on those sort of pages.

I'm 7700k, 16GiB DDR4, 1070.

Yours is actually stronger than mine so if anything you'll have a faster experience than me no matter what. I'm using a regular 7700 and a 1060, though I also have 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Gonna be upgrading when Coffee Lake comes out because of the chipset improvements more than anything else.

Man I'm too lazy to do it but there really needs to be a technical showdown between various Chromium builds, the stock one and Firefox Nightly.

>technical showdown between various Chromium builds, the stock one and Firefox Nightly.

I'm also autist and used to do these and record them for Youtube but the variables in internet speed, response from web servers etc essentially wreck accurate tests but you can still get an idea on what's better especially when testing a list of popular content heavy websites we're talking 14MB+ tons of elements and bloat and of course it's fun to test without an adblocker too as extra obstacles, including those browser benchmark websites too. I stopped years ago because lazy.

Know those feelings all too well. You said you've been using Nik's WPO build for months now, how has that treated you? Like any other user-compiled Chromium build?

I was an autistic jumper like you between Canary and FF Nightly until I found chromium woolyss website, jumped between builds on there until I was happy with Nik's and by that I mean happy with speed, no crashing tabs like regular chromium gave me. Overall I've liked it alot but if Robs MS2017 does better I may aswell switch.

By the way if you haven't already, get the addon called Decentraleyes... helps with your privacy and while doing so actually speed up pages in certain instances. I used that back on FF but now it's out for Chrome so I yipeed.

>Decentraleyes

Interesting. I only haven't kept myself up-to-date as far as good-to-have addons go after I stopped trying to use NoScript and uBlock Matrix since they break things more than they help me out and I just didn't have the energy to go through every individual site I use to optimize them.

And one small thing but the thing that irks me the most about Chrome is that while the UI is for the most part flawless, they just had to make the profile switcher unremovable. God damn it.

>profile switcher unremovable. God damn it.
Just stay incognito mode if that little profile icon triggers you.

But that purple hue though. Not sure if I can stomach that constantly but props to you.

That's my autism with me still liking how FF private mode applied that saints row purple so I never got rid of it when moving to Chromium. That can be changed to any color though.

I assume with an addon?

It is possible with add-ons too I think?

Holy shit user how long did it take you to find the right gray color?

I used a screen color picker tool.

So obvious. Thanks for the help. Finally feel like I can settle down with Chromium now.

Sure.

Some extra addons that may interest you that i use:

Grab these:
uBlock Protector Extension
uBlock Origin Extra
Pure URL

Optional:
Viewhance (Adds image controls in browser such as rotate, flip)
Turn Off The Lights (Adds AmbiLight effect to YT player) Check out this video for example: youtube.com/watch?v=idVsFhN9BA8

...

Because it works, unlike Firefox.

I browse both places at the same time nigga.

edge is faster than chrome

if you install adblock it will completely cripple speed of edge so its unusuable

everything else is too slow

What's with with Chromium builds by nik or rob.

You've become boring, Sup Forums. Here's a new idea about ungoogled chromium:

Vivaldi claims they disabled Google's anal probes (makes sense), and provide configuration options to disable their own.

Yandex claims they disabled Google's anal probes (makes sense), and provide configuration options to disable their own.

Go! Go! Go!

Note that spyfeatures like checks for malware domains still need to be disabled by user.

I use firefox but I keep chrome installed because it's the only browser that supports netflix. Give me a way to watch my shit and I uninstall this crap

honestly I find myself using edge most the time. Its just feels more smoother than anything else out there. Also the fact that chrome and firefox have very outdated UI that doesn't match with my dark theme on windows kills it for me

if i ever have something to hide from google i can use firefox for just that.

- You say you use Firefox, yet you don't know it is capable of playing Netflix. You might want to upgrade your browser grandpa.

While you were installing uBlock Origin, I studied the botnet

While you were setting up uMatrix, I studied the botnet

While you were clearing browser cookies, I studied the botnet

While you fapped to Chinese cartoons, I studied the botnet

My name is Anonymous, and I am Google Analytics IQ certified. Nothing is beyond my reach, not even you, Sup Forums

> The government

When will people learn that even the governments of the world are in the pockets of the multinationals?

lol fuck it's working thx grandson

what do we know about Mozilla?
