Classic.

/thread

Early music is also good.

FPBP. The White Man's Music.

Increases productivity of the mind as well as the speed of the fingers.

I prefer Vivaldi (his sweet violin is my jam), but Mozart is good too. Beethoven is low-test.

Music is too distracting. I need absolute silence.

Me too. Unless I really get into a flow, then some instrumental music at a very low volume is acceptable.

This is some superior fedora right here. Everyone knows Le Gay Russian V for Vendetta Anonymous Cannons music man is the best classical composer.

Anything with a catchy drumline, electric is pretty nice.

Watch your mouth. Third movement of moonlight sonata is the pinnacle of human art.

See your image. Synthpop is great, especially groups like Kraftwerk.

Only real answer coming through

Computer fans

I can't call myself a programmer desu but for the little code I write I find myself more comfortable when I'm listening to some stoner/doom metal

>White Man's Music
Yikes sweetie, didn't you get the memo?

Dumb question. Just listen to whatever music enjoy and helps you concentrate. Asking for music on a Nepalese chicken farm isn't gonna help you program any better.

Hol' up. IS YOU SAYIN?!

>not programming your own programming music

its 2017
>shiggy

Com Truise is always a good choice

Love Electric Wizard, my go-to music if I have to work on something when I'm stressed out and angry, calms me down.

This is the only album I listen to while working. It's been like 8 years since it came out.

...

For a second there I though you meant to talk about csound an nyquist

analord series.

Any background music should be at low volume so it doesn't distract you, but the rythm of the songs will pace your work. It is also important that it doesn't have to have any vocals, as these could distract you even more.

Glitch Hop gets out the hyperactive faggot I am deep inside, good to have low volume in the background for fast programming and working in general.

youtube.com/watch?v=x_Q80rVuCe8

Brian Eno

infinite loop of scatman john

boring dubtechno, the more repetitive the better

...

I S I S

Before the terrorists won.

Pic is best Kraftwerk album to work to. Not their best album overall, but perfectly paced for just about any work you need to do.

Prog.
I tried psych as it's my favorite genre but that just doesn't work for me. I get sucked into the meandering music. Prog is very structured and helps me think in a more organized way.

I can only listen to either absolute silence or to something like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=Z682l95YTC4

never like that much that and autobahn tho.

>t. Lord of the Edge

I enjoy listening to Debussy while programming.

It's the DARK Lord of the Edge for you, mister. Anyway, this one is great too, also it intensifies my dreams:

>Debussy

Lainwave is the best wave. Any other cyberpunk recommendation?

Sup Forums here, what do you think about this album

Music is the work of the devil.

Synthwave (New Retro Wave)
Cyberpunk (Scandroid Instrumentals)
Deep House
Com Truise

Debussy is great, but at the end of your session you want to switch to Bach, for safety.

Always finish on the Bach, never finish on Debussy.

AE is great, but too complex: if I am doing hardcore algorithmic shite it gets difficult to concentrate because of this complexity.

Same with AFX, although acid is a bit easier to my brain at least...

That guitar sound demo he made was so awesome.

>AE is great, but too complex: if I am doing hardcore algorithmic shite it gets difficult to concentrate because of this complexity.
I get what you meant, anyways do you like ambient music? It might help you set up the mood

Its been a while since I read this.

Sure, I like BoC for instance. But sometimes (specially at night) some simple beat is need to stay awake and focused. Lainwave is good in that respect:
youtube.com/watch?v=dni75S0GC2M

Demoscene music is also good.

Mr Robot soundtrack

I was actually recommending BoC for that until you've mentioned it. I should probably listen to Lainwave, not familiar of that even though I always hear that word on Sup Forums.

>Demoscene music is also good.
Those were good representation of "hacker" subculture, are there any big names on that genre? from what I've known it is slowly dying since late 2000s

youtube.com/watch?v=6GEI3PpXEAo

try out Dvorak, very very good for programming if you like classical

is right though

Oh, heck yeah!
Aerodynamik is my favorite Kraftwerk song though, so I am quite biased.

WE WAZ KANGS N SHIET?

It's "WE WUZ KANGZ N SHIET?!". If you're going to shitpost, at least do it properly.

...

Don't disgrace the black man by saying Mozart was black. Blacks made far better music than Mozart.

Mozart shit out a "new" song every 5 minutes since he was a toddler, every song sounding the same, over and over, endless permutations. It is the definition of what you would stereotypically associate with "nigger music."

Here's some real black music. Look up names like "Louis Armstrong", "John Coltrane", "Dizzy Gillespie," "Duke Ellington", "Charlie Parker".

MILES DAVIS. JIMI HENDRIX. The list goes on and on and on. Each making truly original music (ignore the age of hiphop, that's just a degeneration. All races experience it.)

I didn't see this on that list
youtu.be/HPftjJlqDdQ

I listen JB songs.

Is anyone into late 90's goatrance?

youtube.com/watch?v=PcR6UxaqT2Y

Wesley Willis is the black reincarnation of Mozart.

I suggest listening to him while programming in ruby. Actually, no. It's the equivalent experience.

Sure, the scene is not dead m8, razor1911 for instance keep doing music:
youtube.com/watch?v=9hsHsAyhzAw
And Dubmood have its own music label, mostly chiptune/french synthpop:
youtube.com/watch?v=dWe7X88Vbys

devo seems to have a techy hacker vibe but is their music any good?

The Yotsuba soundtrack. Only us oldfags can appreciate this. If you're a filthy newfag, you wouldn't even know where to find it.

Laletly i really got into the hawaiian tracks of the Spongebob OST because they are very relaxing and harmonic so they don't distract me
youtube.com/watch?v=83hg7Eb0iLc

I also like to listen to Super Eurobeat when i'm late finishing an assignment for university because it creates this just get shit done atmosphere

Here is a playlist I made and use especially at night.

How can a manga have a soundtrack, oldfag? I'm intrigued.

Like so, friend-o.

das right

Lo-fi has done absolute wonders for me. Whether it's studying or programming, or virtually any other scenario where you play music in the background, I have it on. Honestly don't know how I've survived without it

Hope you like dial up samples

Hope you like DNA sequencing made audio:
youtube.com/watch?v=HWhfZk1llUo

Literally "God-tier" music.

I'd say Penderecki but I don't code.

Enjoy, annon

ISHYGDDT

Thank you.

I got myself a Spongebob OST playlist as well. Very comfy.

Aphex Twin, ambient collections.

yeah

...

I love it but I can't listen to it when I"m doing something else

hahahahaha

Brings back memories :)

Hardbass, cyka

litteraly the best song for programmaing java xD
