stage 1 minimal iso

clover os

btw is pentestbox any good?

If you are on 64 bit, you use the amd64 section.
If you are on 32 bit, you use the x86 section.

If you are on BIOS or okay with using legacy boot, use minimal iso.
If you are on UEFI, use the liveCD.

You can try making a minimal install boot on UEFI by skipping installing the boot loader, going into another distros install media which does support UEFI, doing the good ol chroot thing, and installing your bootloader from there.

there are only alpha and stage 3?

Are you blind?

stage 1 is not supported anymore, simply follow wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64

I can't tell if this thread is ironic or not.

i knew this but i just did not see stage one. so should i fo 32 bit hybrid or minimal?

system-rescue-cd.org

no im retarded

minimal.

Stage 3 is a tarball containing the base system, and is the only supported one. Anyone telling you to do stage 1 or 2 is just trying to make things hard for you. (and I mean REALLY hard).

If you are using UEFI, skip the bootloader step and install the bootloader from another distros install media/rescue media.

Alternatively, system rescue cd is a good choice for doing a Gentoo installation in place of minimal.

sorry but what is UEFI and BOIS?

...

Use google, friend.

>asking Sup Forums or any online community on how to install gentoo
>dont know what fucking stage to download
you already failed user, go back to ubuntu

>forced meme

Quality bait thread. Luckily nobody fell for it. 7/10 good post.

uefi is botnet

If you don't know, then I don't think Gentoo is right for you.

go with this OP, it's the best and easiest way to do it.

Fuck off, jerk.
