Still no volume control, linked mkv support, or album art?
Angel Gray
Hey mpv pros, how do I make my mouse wheel change volume instead of skipping a minute ahead?
I tried the MPC-HC conf but it doesn't work with 0.26.
Jaxon Russell
It supports all of those things.
Christopher Rogers
>volume control It's right there.
>linked mkv support Does anyone even use that besides this one autistic person?
>album art There's scripts for that that are pretty easy to set up, but seriously though why not use an actual music player (as in a program actually designed for playing music)?
Jace Perez
I'm on Linux, so this might not work the same in Windows but you should be able to change the volume with the mouse wheel if you hold the mouse pointer over the speaker icon while spinning it.
Noah Peterson
>Still no volume control Already implemented. >linked mkv support No one uses it. >album art Not a music player.
Now fuck off kuchikirukia.
Luke Hall
I want to make yet another mpv frontend
Zachary Bell
Me again, if you want the mouse wheel to change the volume by default then you can set that directly in the input.conf file. It looks super easy to do according to the sample input.conf.
Do it. The problem doesn't seem to be in making them but in maintaining them.
Baka-MPlayer and Bomi were both great but now they are both abandoned (though I saw a mysterious git message saying that the Baka-MPlayer guys were working on something big behind the scenes).
Isaiah Evans
So on windows is setting hwdec to auto bad vs just using software rendering? As in are some settings only usable in software mode?
Gabriel Sullivan
>>Me again, if you want the mouse wheel to change the volume by default then you can set that directly in the input.conf file. It looks super easy to do according to the sample input.conf.
That doesn't work anymore on 0.26. See for yourself.
Isaac Sullivan
>though I saw a mysterious git message saying that the Baka-MPlayer guys were working on something big behind the scenes
Isaac Richardson
I want to automate script management, a frontend to input.conf, and mpv.conf.
tl;dr: >Baka-MPlayer is being refactored into Mochi-Player. >Mochi-Player compiles and has more features than Baka-MPlayer, but was(is?) more buggy than Baka-MPlayer. >Once Mochi-Player has an actual release, users of Baka-MPlayer "will be notified" through the website. >Development is slow as the developers are busy.
and TODOs github.com/mochi-player/mochi-player/projects/1 >Migration from Baka-MPlayer. While not too many major aspects are left, a large amount of minor ui glitches are present that need to be hammered out along with testing on Windows and Mac OSes.
From June 18th >While I don't have a timeline yet, I can tell you that there really isn't an overwhelming amount to be done. Many of the Major TODO parts are done and just need testing and the Minor TODO things might take from a few minutes to an hour.
Anyone wanna try compiling it?
Henry Cook
Doom9 unbanning when?
Ryan Sanders
>No one uses it. Funny you've had multiple requests.
John Bailey
It will be on libmpv, right? mpv is not banned on doom9
Does mpv work as well on Windows as it does on GNU/Linux? Does it truly use OpenGL or is it one of those OGL->D3D9 translation layer hacks?
Kayden Taylor
Yes it will.
mochi-player.github.io/ >Thanks to the powerful libmpv playback engine, mochi-player can play many files. mpv has an OpenGL based video output that is capable of many features loved by videophiles, such as video scaling with popular high quality algorithms, color management, frame timing, interpolation, and more. >Don't let the slim design fool you. Power users who want to change that obscure mpv option can do so right from the built in command line. All you have to do is append the word mpv to the command.
John Reyes
Is the other way around kid.
Jason Cook
Nice.
Jace Wood
madshi isn't banned from doom9. mpv has to use Sup Forums as their forums.
Joseph Howard
Works well for me, I'm on Windows 10.
Levi Jenkins
And? Also mpv is not banned.
Michael Richardson
mpv is banned for stealing from madshi.
Sebastian Hill
>mPv Is BaNNed fOr stEaLing fRoM mAdShi.
Cameron Murphy
>Claims mpv is banned on doom9 because stole code from madshi. >Provides zero evidence for both of the claims, the banning and the stolen code.
Adam Gutierrez
Pretending you don't do it won't get you unbanned. Perhaps you should try apologizing.
Cooper Bailey
Provide the evidence then, of both the ban and the stolen code.
>m...madshi was banned from doom9 for stealing from mpv! Funny he's there and mpv isn't.
Isaac Fisher
Ignoring Stop shitposting m8, you're trying too hard.
Juan Adams
Good, I hope it won't be long till mpv is banned from here too, maybe then we can finally have AV-related threads without mpvfags shitting it up every single time
Benjamin Hughes
Problem is wm4 is a mod and he's the one making these threads.
Matthew Barnes
>Samefagging this hard.
Carter Evans
Come on now user, being a little too defensive aren't we?
John Rivera
>He thinks a screenshot proves anything. Go back to discuss madvr in your beloved doom9.
Landon Richardson
>can't even detect samefag
Ethan White
>there's no way I could be an idiot, he obviously edited his pic to prove some faggot on a shitty thread wrong! You really aren't that important kiddo, then again with the absolute state of these threads I can't really blame you for being this paranoid
Cameron Garcia
The state of the threads?? Most of the time they're alright (see last two threads) but when shitposters like you come and try to derail the thread there's nothing we can't do.
Evan Martinez
Apologize to madshi and the Doom9 team and maybe you'll be allowed back there.
>This performs almost 50% faster on my machine (!!), from 4650μs down to about 3176μs for ewa_lanczossharp. Devs and math. :D
Jackson Stewart
Nice.
Aaron Jenkins
Is haasn sleeping at his desk all the time? Is he exploited in a stupid company without desks? (pic related) Is he using a workout desk like Linus Thorvald?
John Baker
Stop taking drugs, foozoor
Chase Harris
Why am I getting red frame timings after updating to the latest version? I'm only using profile=opengl-hq and interpolation. The gpu/cpu load is less than 10%, and there's no framedrops or anything. Should I worry? Previous version worked perfectly fine.
Thomas Turner
>hevc maybe you were playing h264 before?
Kayden Johnson
I'm getting red/yellow frames even with h264. Previous version worked fine with hevc.
Ayden Lee
Did your average timings increase or are you just getting higher peaks?
Justin Gutierrez
it's just peaks I think.
Austin Jackson
>kuchikirukia I fucking knew it.
Brayden Morales
Hardware decoders always fuck up colors or add some other problems. Use it only if your playback gets bottlenecked by your CPU.
Justin Long
Not always.
Nathan Foster
Yeah, meant sometimes.
Nicholas Evans
Try enabling opengl-pbo
Benjamin Mitchell
With opengl-pbo enabled mpv crashes every time I try to play something.
Noah Brown
How do I rebind the mouse wheel to volume and mouse side buttons to chapter skip?
scroll wheel might be AXIS_UP and AXIS_DOWN you can run mpv --input-test --force-window --idle too see what each input registers as
Brandon Johnson
It doesnt matter if it only happens at the very start. Its normal.
Matthew Perez
Yeah but in his screenshot over at you can see that the uploads are peaking quite heavily on a regular basis
opengl-pbo could prevent that
Owen Anderson
Thanks, apparently even my mouse side buttons are different being 7 & 8
Levi Martin
Is it beneficial to use opengl-pbo with dxinterop?
Lucas Mitchell
is there a low quality preset I can try? Playback is smooth (smooth as a 60hz screen can get playing 24hz video that is) on my laptop using video-sync=display-resample, but it isn't smooth once I fullscreen the video.
Cooper Myers
Are these diagnostics generated by some LUA script or what?
Jackson Smith
The problem is that it happens all the time. Tried enabling opengl-pbo with dxinterop, it didn't crashed this time, but the problem still persist
