T*rks out

Some of those words don't mean what it says. It's like a loose translation fitted to Turkish words.

Like what?

Salach doesn't mean stupid, it's more like 'ugly, horrible, disabled, awful' - all depends on context.
Nach to mean never doesn't work at all, just two words that sound the same - a far stretch.
Abair is the verb 'to say' in Irish.
Just a few examples.

Ag bumpáil donsa daltaí.

Meme iontach, a chara.

That's the second largest island in the british isles op.

Cén fáth a dúirt tú é sin?

Never mind that. Forgot that Irish is now an official language in the EU and fucking English isn't. That's even more a fucking meme desu.

I really, really like this language

Why do they speak English in Ireland?

Thank you, Greece.

Do you speak gaelic with your friend or only english?

I've a few friends with Irish, so I do my best to speak it with them. Aside from them and a college society - it's just on the Internet.

Well I speak French with my friends as we're upper class.

You do in your shite

dia dhuit tuilli

Dia is Muire duit, conas atá tusa féin? An bhfuil a lán Gaeilge agat?

I just started learning it so did not understand what you said.Any tips for someone who is just starting ?

English is still an official language in the EU though

Not for long.

It can only be removed by unanimous vote, which won't happen.

A graph of how the Celts influenced the t*rks, not the other way around

alright lads we're here to take over your thread

Janny is being mean, do you mind if we use your thread, lads? You are practically British anyways.

FUCK YOU, HOTPOCKET EATING FUCKBALL

YOU DONT CONTROL ME, IM MY OWN MAN, I BUILT MYSELF

>speaking Gaelic

Even the majority fucking Irish people don't speak Gaelic anymore.

Cad é mar atá sibh, a /eire/?

What do you think the future for the language is? Will it survive through future generations? From what I've heard from my Irish friends, they grew up hating the language because of the shitty way it's taught, but now they wish that they knew it. Also heard from someone that the immigrant children are picking it up quickly.

You're right! We never spoke Gaelic anyway.

>Also heard from someone that the immigrant children are picking it up quickly.
lol no. Gaelscoileanna (Irish speaking schools) will have a token immigrant or two, but most immigrants barely care to learn English let alone Irish.

Oh well, I think it would be especially kekky if the muzzies took on Gaeilge instead of English.

I gotta brush up on my irregular verbs, already forgotten some of them.

The muslims at least put a sign in Irish on the Dublin mosque so that's something I suppose.
