Looks interesting to me, and I'm already in love with the soundtrack!
There are two kinds of movies on this country, either the ones that are too dark that leaves you depressed, or the ones that everyone forgets two days after they are released.
the good ones are, La Ley de Heroes, La dictadura perfecta, El infierno (all of them of luis estrada). and the one that's more lighthearded comedy that doesn't try to be chespirito es La pastorela.
Broj 55

Tuntematon sotilas - The unknown soldier
An all time classic in Finnish war movies. The movie is based on book based on the real life experiences of the writer in a machine gun platoon in the continuation war and and the characters are replications of his brothers in arms.
One might think it's mainly just pro-finnish propaganda, but while it of course is biassed it still shows the harsness of the war from both ends of the barrel.
There's also a colour version made in the 80', if black and white is not your thing. Both should be available as torrents with decent English subtitles. At least the 80' version is.
Game of mother fucking Thrones!
People somehow forget it's an American series
I hear A Serbian Film is pretty good

Seen that, good stuff!
>A Serbian Film
The title means nothing, it's just self-cynicism
>Spasojević and Radivojević, have stated that the film is a parody of modern politically correct films made in Serbia, which are financially supported by foreign funds. When asked why they chose the title 'Srpski Film' for the film's name, Radivojević answered, "We have become synonyms for chaos and lunacy. The title is a cynical reference to that image.
It's just, serbian humour, unexplainable, people say we're bad, we're lunatics, we're evil and we just roll with that, even say it ourselves.
Example, this song was recorder in 1998/1999, and played that.
About our portrayal in world media, it was popular.

Try "Michael Kohlhaas" (2013). Great adaptation of a German 19th century classic, starring Mads Mikkelsen, the villain from James Bond: Casino Royale. I bet you'll find a subtitled version
...
Stalingrad, 1993
