Desk Thread

What do you guys recommend on computer desk? I'm leaning towards Ikea but I want a second opinion. What type of desks do you have?

flaws?

That looks, comfy.

I'm thinking about doing a countertop desk with one of these Ikea countertops and a bunch of their legs.

Anyone have experience with such a thing?

"""her""" boobs are too small

Only difference is the counter top will be a hell of lot stronger and will last longer. Make sure you get the legs to support it. But its an interesting idea to do.

plus it looks better than literally every other table

what mount is that

sams club youre an autist if you get a desk anywhere besides there or a proper furniture outlet and no ikea doesnt qualify as proper

user! Don't talk about her that way!

>desk thread

I want a lap thread :(

What kind of exercises does Sup Forums do to help keep the laptop balanced? Do squats help?

uplift, autonomous, fully

little to no mousepad space, and only a single monitor.

Why can't you just rest it on your legs like normal? Are you /fat/

Arms/wrists not flat, couldn't stay in that position for long.

>4 legs from Ikea
>Top from a local woodworking store
>Built a welded reinforcement frame, screwed in between them

100€ and 2 afternoons, was good fun. The finishing on the tabletop came out much better than I thought I could do, legit looks like something you could straight up buy from a store

Dont get the cheap ikea desktops, especially if you are going to use a clamp on monitor arm. They seem to be made out of cardboard and will bend easily.

This. I only got the legs from them because their tops are built from a sort of paper mesh. Try to go for actual wood, or if you can't, a sturdy compressed chipboard is good too.

>chipboard

Disregard that, meant MDF. Not being a native speaker is a bitch sometimes.

The cheap Ikea desk surfaces are hollow with a chipboard honeycomb. If you have any woodworking tools available, I suggest you try making your own from a sheet of plywood. I'll post a template you can use.

Their countertops are particleboard too

They're literally wobbly pieces of shit

you need a desk with adaptive transformation to fit the circumstances, a autodesk.

This,it's much better to make you own but make sure you're not a complete fucking retard with power tools. Plus you can make a much more beautiful desk if you find the right wood and whatnot.

Ikea Malm desk. It's held up for 4 years now and 3 moves. Solid desk for $150ish

Most of them are particleboard inside, but the Hammarp is solid wood

Uplift and some other company have four-legged versions now

At double the price. Or you could just get an imovr or vertdesk

Ikea sells solid wood desktops though.

This. Small bit of flex in the center but it's fine.

>No ikea near
>Shipping is an extra $99

>he didn't buy a butcher block and put some metal legs on it to make a desk
