Critique the build.

2500k system died, will replace it in a month.

I'm running a 144hz 1440p display and I need every frame I can get so Ryzen is a no-go.

I already have the other peripherals, hence not being part of the build.

I'm new to water cooling even if it's an AOI, is expecting an AIO WC to last many years a mistake ?

By many years I mean at least 6.

If you needed every frame, you'd have purchased a 2600k for your original build. Buy Ryzen and stop being a fag.

This thinly veiled Intel shill thread.

kys OP

>I need every frame I can get so Ryzen is a no-go
not wanting a Ryzen is fine, but your point makes you sound like a retard from Sup Forums

ITT Ryzen fanboys triggered

>RGB ram
>7700K
>H110i
>850W PSU for this build
jesus christ

>needs ever frame
>ryzen no go

threadripper x399

Isn't this what pcbg is for?

ITT AMD fanboys that have never seen unbiased benchmarks with relevant games and not the biased reviews with cherry-picked games and GPU bottlenecks

The fuck is that

Yes but OP is farming (you)s with an Intel shill thread.

Pc build general, there isn't a thread up right now for some reason.

> being this retarded

Sure, you will get the best fps on games, but that's it. On actual productivity it will shit itself.

> 850W
overkill

TLDR: If you're a Sup Forums underage, get the 7700K and play epic games.
If you wish to become a game developer and do actual work on the machine, get something with more cores.

SSSSTOP USING LOGIC

Literally how fucking retarded the AMD retards are.

Even the ones that know Intel is the raining gaming king, they then just say STOP PLAYING GAMES GET MOAR COARS FOR MULTITASKING

Who said "get AMD" there you fucking stupid cunt? Intel also has chips with more cores (like the i7 6950X)

if you're looking for gaming,
will be more to your liking
Sup Forumsermin are not welcome here

AMD hasn't done dick except not charge a bunch for more than 4 cores.

If you fucking morons actually pay attention to unbiased proper benchmarks the 7700 destroys the 1700x in games with both at stock by as much as 30fps, even if you're already at 90fps, that extra 30 can mean a bunch, especially when minimums come into play.

There were also be times where minimums are drastically lower than peaks so you want that minimum to be as high as it can be.

buy whatever the fuck you want, sir.

Better off making a steam powered engine and use all the money you saved by switching to ryzen as a fuel source for a couple months. Who needs power companies anymore?

>I only play video games
It's alright man, we were all 13 at one point.

Even X-Plane 11, one of the most multithreaded games I've heard of, barely makes use of 4 cores as of a RECENT update.

is a ryzen 5 1600 enough to handle ddr4-3200?

is this supposed to be the pcbg ?

i guess so. OP is just special need and didnt make the post properly

Explain the benchmark data then.

> $400 cheaper
> twice the cores/threads
> double the RAM

The 1700 comes with a cooler, you don't need the meme fan.

the included fan is only good if you aren't planning to hit 3.9-4.0ghz, otherwise it won't be good enough

Christ, memory prices are busted. Thats the only thing keeping me from upgrading.

I heard you don't really want to go past 3.8 anyways.

With that noctua you can OC the shit out of the 1700

>we were all 13 at one point.

we all had friends at one point

FTFY

>all these top tier parts
>goes for the budget mobo with like 2 USB ports

Yeah, can't say anything good about a company without being a shill or fanboy.
Not like many of us abandoned AMD while they sold Bulldozer.

Get your head out of your ass. You might gain like 2 FPS, but everyone knows you get less stuttering on Ryzen.

>raining
reigning?

>I'm running a 144hz 1440p display and I need every frame I can get so Ryzen is a no-go.

ryzen is a no no on fps games... sure if you were building a machine 4 months ago...but nowdays 1600x is on par with 7800x aka the 7700k
youtube.com/watch?v=UfNMn7RWgLw

Noctua actually cools worse than 212 Evo, but it's quieter.

> being this retarded

Fucking AMD retards linking the same biased benchmarks

yeah we know anyting that intel doesnt win is biased
intel literally went into underdog position in just 4 months

Are you really this retarded.

Go look at proper benchmarks with a proper GPU, look at minimum and maximums.

Most Ryzen benchmarks have a GPU bottleneck, people love using a 970 to say OMG PERFORMANCE IS EQUAL

> being this retarded

> this bait

go power up your i9 maybe this time you will end up dead

This thread again.
>no budget
>no use case
>worthless
I should not come here anymore.

>watching benchmark vids
>1st vid shows a guy playing witcher 3 on a 1080 at 1440p at 56-63 fps
>2nd vid shows a guy playing witcher 3 on a 1080 at 1440p at 75-78 fps
what could explain this?

Wut.
I've never seen a benchmark like that. But I mostly check benchmarks where unbiased people do it or if they are biased someone else analyses the data with a brain.

R8 my ultra budget absolutely awful budget build.

That's pretty good for the price. Might be cutting it close on the PSU though, better than mine which I forgot to add, has a 1gb GT710 as well

i have no idea what im doing

Reminds me of my old thinkcenter shitbox with a Pentium G3260 and a 750ti
Had the same PSU

>1600
>RX 470
>550W 80+ Gold PSU

Should I OC the 1600 up to 3.9GHz with that PSU, or is it risky ?

does a ryzen 1600 bottleneck a 1080?

You can totally push it on that PSU. That's not a very power hungry system

youtube.com/watch?v=HNLubjXKHLs

>30C temp drop after delidding
Holy fuck, fuck Intel.

Depends on the resolution and game. If you play at 1080p yes. If you're trying to run games at 1440p max settings, you'll hit a GPU bottleneck more often than not. And at 4k you'll pretty much always be bottlenecked by the GPU, regardless of the GPU.

>low end thermaltake power supply

>nex psu

what about a i5 6600k? I plan on playing max settings 1440p. Don't care about 2 less cores since a lot of games I play dont take advantage of that many.

gaymur retard pls go
Sup Forums is that way

The 6600k gets minimums of around 30FPS in many games. If you already own one it's not too bad, but there's pretty much no reason to get an i5 these days when even games are increasingly multithreaded. Either go up to 7700k or get a ryzen instead.

This is just ridiculous.

kys

That's an awful lot of posts from the same guy.

It's not often people survive train wrecks. Perhaps God exchanged all of his intellect for luck.

>so Ryzen is a no-go
so you don't want a higher min ?

pfft tipical gaymer

If you needed every frame you'd be buying Ryzen.

I bought an 850w PSU for an even lower draw build because it means no fan noise. I doubt that's why OP has one, he's just stupid.

Water coolers are the most retarded thing you could possibly do aside from getting an ATX motherboard with ATX sized case. There isn't a single piece of hardware out there that can't be perfectly cooled on air. Don't listen to the retards talking shit about better overclock because you'll much sooner hit the natural limits of the silicon than run into a thermal limit with a good air cooler. Not to mention that for the price of a low tier water cooler you can get premium air coolers.

If I want reliable frames, I'll buy Ryzen. If I want EVERY FRAME, I'll buy Intel.

How will you get every frame if your PC catches fire?

If you can gather frames quickly enough, you will be able to achieve stable fusion power.
