I understand Japanese girls tend to be less shy, and more sensitive to displays of affection than Australian girls.
I met this girl a couple of weeks ago, we've been messaging ever since. We went to an izakaya last week, we're going to Tokyo Disney next week, then a Tanabata festival a few days later.

How do you ask a question in plain form?
Say I have a sentence:

I've been told that だか doesn't go, and なのか only works under specific circumstances. Yahoo fucking useless shitcunt Answers just says that if you're a girl you can put の? after だ, but says nothing about if you're a male.
How do you end statements in plain form as well? I've heard that ending a sentence with だ is just a dramatic anime thing, e.g. この本は変だ。
At the moment I've been using either だよ, だね, or just avoiding having to use it altogether, because だ with an emotional inflection sounds more natural to me.
What's the correct way though?
