What would you like to know ?

Rightful English clay

what is it like. I heard its different from the rest of france. whats the food like, anything unique? (french foods amazing desu) what are the people like, whsts the weather like, etc. general stuff about this place

They can take it.

Rightful Briton clay.

Apparently they put cream and butter on everything.

>brittany
>does not belong to britain
????????????????????

It is, breton people came from great Britain (mostly from Cornwall) in the 5th century. We have our own language, which is celtic and similar to cornish and to a lesser extent to welsh, here's what it sounds like : youtube.com/watch?v=LkZQUXqh-Y4

The iconic food is mostly sea food, for obvious reasons, also crêpes and galettes ; for alcohol, it's cider and hydromel.

The weather is pretty similar to the british weather, not too cold in winter, not too hot in summer, very humid.
Only butter, and salted butter.

The original Britain.

They're ayyyy lmao leftards

Also they come from Great Britain, GTFO of my continent, Bretons

is it true that frenchies were very successful at culturally eliminating languages in their country? Like occitan, breton, etc etc?

Loire Atlantique is god tier except the swamps of Brière and Nantes, which becomes a shit city because of niggers and Arabs.

Morbihan and Ile et Vilaine are great.

The Côte d'Armor are the countryside.

Finistère is meh.

French people hate us.

...

Yes, using "regional" languages was forbidden in schools.
Cheers love, we were already there before France even existed.
Other way around, we don't originate from here, it was mostly populated by gauls who already had trading relations with the briton, so the integration was very pacific.

>French people hate us
why, for not being default french? (aka parisian)

OUUUUUUUT

Do you do any gig rowing similar to the Cornish?

Yes. They're still trying to snuff out those languages today despite outcry from the UN and rights groups.

Fuck Parisians

t. "Default French"

We were free, you annexed us, we wanted independance, you refused it. Now we're here, and we're not even complaining, so don't start bitching please.
There's a lot of sailing going on, but we aren't known for rowing.

I'm from Rennes. It's a comfy place to live.

Its the place the makes Britain, 'Great' Britain

Not really, they're not helping but not doing anything against them either, the french government is quite neutral about it.

youtube.com/watch?v=SAtY3IBW2lM

AHHHHHHHHH FUCK OFF TO GREAT BRITAIN NOW

>for not being default french?
Exactly

They even split our region. I come from Loire Atlantique which is officially not part of Brittany anymore.

Immigration from Albion was mainly warriors who seized power and merged with the local nobility. The people is mostly gaulish autochtones.

>it's cider

Basically what the West Country is known for, Devon and Cornwall are all about cider and Perry.

Really ? From the few I read about it it was quite important migrations that started with the roman period, when the roman authority recruited soldiers in GB and sent them here, which ended up with them settling here.

This

Cider is also very popular in normandy tb h

I just come here to say thaht i can speak the regional language of Britain

Best region in France, people are very nice and friendly, the scenery is great and the girls are qt.

shortages of fucking food man

Give me an example, my celtic friend.

Rdv à Charles de Gaulle vers 23h

Yes they needed good sailors to patrol the Channel but the number of Roman conscripts was not tremendous, and the main port of the area being Boulogne s/ Mer I doubt they had a lot of them effectively settling in Brittany.
The event I was referring to was the fleeing of a certain amount of noble celtic families from Britain. People tend to learn that Brittany was completly empty before the migration when there was an indigenous gaulish population beforehand. But they indeed brought a lot of change in social, political and cultural aspects of the region.

>people are very nice and friendly, the scenery is great and the girls are qt

All of that is wrong on so many levels
.t Breton actually living in Brittany

Now that I think of it, in the very late days of the Empire, the recrudescence of piracy in the north sea may have created a flow of migration. The two phenomena are quite close anyway.

Pour quoi faire ?

I spent 2 weeks and no one was unfriendly towards me.
The scenery in côte-de-emeraud is incredible and the girls are qt (of course there's always a bunch of ugly girls)
At least girls there didn't have the agressive aura that portuguese girls have

There is but a simple truth about Bretagne, if you see their flag in any kind of event, go there, they have alcohol

Well, i had some breton friends that were mesmerized by the amount of alchool we drink in Portugal.
They said it's slav tier and i replied that when there is no future, alchool is your only source of escapism...

I thought the government doesn't allow anything but French to be taught or spoken in public schools outside of learning a foreign language. Wasn't that the whole reason that the locals had to set up private schools to teach Occitan, etc.?

You can speak whatever language you want in school

Kek, is the situation, really that bad?

home to some extremely autistic int posters.

>Kek, is the situation, really that bad?

Yes. I mean, it's not thirld world tier but it's definitevily bad.
There are no jobs and there isn't a "young culture" in the sense that there is nothing here to offer to the young people. There is literally NOTHING to do if you don't live in Porto or Lisbon, you will just end up your life going to the same village bar, with the same people, getting drunk till you grow old and die filled with regrets.
People here don't travel much either so there isn't anything exciting going on. The only thing going on is tourism and summer festivals but i don't even like summer festivals.

If i don't leave this place i think i'll either go insane or off myself

Qtest region of france

Where will you go?

I dunno. France, Belgium... Central europe is always the best option because of the location. You are close to many countries. In Portugal you are stuck in the fuckin end of the world surrounded by spainiards.

Brest :DDDDDDDDDDDD

Ahah, the portuguese in my village was unironically a construction worker.
Culture wise, we are doing better I suppose but work opportunities are also sparse here

>We were free, you annexed us, we wanted independance, you refused it.
Nope
We welcomed you after the germanic invaders started to genocide you, and we allowed you to settle in ARMORIQUE which is french clay, then you became semi-independant until based Charles VIII put and end to your traitorous behavior.

>Roscoff
wow lol

Work opportunities are scarce for both countries so I prefer to live in the one with better cultural offers.
There's only one specialised comic book store in Portugal. One!
I'm lucky to live somewhat nearby it and i just gotta take a 1 hour and half ride towards that city

>
Brittany was a kingdom, the franks tried to invade it and failed. Then you eventually married with Anne de Bretagne and annexed us.

>There's only one specialised comic book store in Portugal. One!
I highly doubt that. There's one near my college, and I'm pretty sure it's not the only comic book store in the country.

Fuck that's sad, comics are a big thing here even if American super-heroes are slowly taking over the bandes-dessinées ...

>only one specialized comic book store
Really? Even we have a bunch of those.
Old Italian comic books, Marvel/DC, there has been a huge expansion of manga lately, we have our own localized releases, high quallity surprisingly.

I said a true comic book store.
The only one in Portugal is located in Porto called "mundo fantasma". There's also hergé in Porto too but he only specialises in classical comics for collectors.

Meh, most people don't like art much here...
Artists always ended up tragically in Portugal because there were no place for them. An artist needs an audience but in Portugal you will always be speaking to the emptyness cause no one will ever hear you.
Unless you are "le cool hipster musician wich everyone wants to hang around with" of course

Not our fault if you don't learn

>I said a true comic book store.
What the fuck does that mean? Are the other comic book stores "fake" comic book stores?

It's true that I don't know much modern artist from Portugal.
The movie in picrelated was very good tho

They don't.
The comic book french enjoy the most is a bout zombies, not super heroes.

I can say the same for you wikiwarrior fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bataille_de_Jengland

There's really good stuff here but it's always very hard to get by and it's always a minority.

>What the fuck does that mean? Are the other comic book stores "fake" comic book stores?

Not fake but pheraps they are not specialised in the sense that they are up to date with everything new that comes out.

WE learned, that's why you're part of France.

We're just part of France because you forced us to by marriage, that's all.

And your boss married based Charles VIII because we kicked your ass

You threatened to kick our ass, which wouldn't have been too difficult since France was the major european power, and Brittany was 10 times smaller and less populated.

>you
>we
Stop being idiots, please.
We all know you are north african descendants anyway.

I love portuguese girls and their attitudes, especially hot-blooded ones.

We had a very long and painful war with England and Burgundy a few years ago, and you had England (fuck 'em), the """"Holy"""" """"Roman"""" """"Empire""""", Castille, Aragon and Lorraine with you

No excuse.

>I love portuguese girls and their attitudes, especially hot-blooded ones.

It gets annoying really fast and if she senses weakness from your part she will abuse you or cuck you asap

Dad from Poitiers, white.
Mother from Brittany (may god have mercy on us all...), white too.

I'm ultra pale.

Not too bad for a north african, huh m8 ?

You really think they would've come to our help ? They had 0 reason to

>I'm ultra pale.

Pale is best tbqh.

>White
>Not being a full blooded sub sahaarian african with ties with the ancient zulu tribes

Well your duchess was set to marry the HRE emperor

>Dad from Poitiers, white.
>Poitiers, white.
Shut up, Ali

>They had 0 reason to

France was growing stronger and stronger

Wilson is from there

This was only to our advantage, they wouldn't have risk to go to war against France just for that.
Indeed.

>lemme tell u about ur genetics

100% Celtic desu

As I said, we had a big war few years ago

They could have tried, but no

Pls tell me cool shit

Nice ad hominem, Tristan

I've spent enough time in /tg/ to know there's a prophecy about how a mythical city will rise up from the sea when Paris is sunk into the earth.

What do the French think of Germany? I know we have sort of a meme rivalry going over Elsass, but here in Krautcuckistan most people love France.

Can you reciprocate? :3

Typical girl from there

WTF

Can't really tell, I'm a NEET virgin :3

But you're okay

>eating carls jr.

Hard pass

We love you so some hate you.
Most of people think germany is a good country and don't really care much.
Our politicians always take germany for exemple about the unemployment.

No.

You're loved in Paris, Frankistan, but people don't like you outside of Frankistan especially since Merkel.
