Apple has done much for privacy and security

>Apple has done much for privacy and security
Can someone of you name 1 thing that Apple did for security?
Security implemented done by *BSD fags doesn't count.

they said fuck you to the fbi, so they had to use special hardware to get the information from the phone. And even that doesn't work with the new ones

>he believes in the news
>implying this wasn't a stage act to recover apple's credibility after 2013/2014 data leaks

>anything on apple’s servers can by law get handed over
>apple can in no way access local only data
>apple has only leaked data from their servers
what are you saying?

saying fuck you to FBI is not implementing security features it's simply protecting your business

but the security features that are in place with the iPhone 5S and up make it so the FBI have a really difficult time to access the contents if it is even possible at all. They’ve implemented security features and then said no to creating a flaw to the security features. Even if they didnt say no and that was a scam, the security features are still there. Not a single device’s contents has been leaked because of apple.

>but the FreeBSD encryption that are in place with the iPhone 5S is working thanks to Apple
stop

Apple has done jack fucking shit for security. Their security patches are worthless, exploits live a long time without getting addressed, everything gets fucked through Safari.

The only thing they have going for them is Secure Enclave, and that's more privacy than security. Apple helped popularize fingerprint unlock, the shittiest security measure in the world.

If it was just freeBSD’s encryption, then it wouldn’t be used by anyone. On iOS, they’ve created a whole concept with that encryption by adding in TouchID and a simple way to set it and forget it aspect with a passcode.

according to Snowden they have done wonders for security and privacy :)
I believe more in a NSA worker than in a Sup Forums pajeet

Snowden was a contractor.

>they’ve created a whole concept with that encryption
fancy words jewish boy
>password
>security feature
:}

Name me 1 security feature Apple contributed.

Snowden is a clown and literally nothing that he revealed was not already public knowledge, it was just in handy PowerPoint format for the proles.

I actually miss those powerpoints because the guardian simply stopped publishing them
I found a website dedicated to snowden files and guess what? the files are links to the guardian.

Read up on the phrase limited hangout. All the Snowden leaks did is make people afraid to use technology.

Tell me how you would have implemented said encryption as is, in a phone like setting.

The leaks helped to sell and improve vpn providers
>Would you like to be anonymous in a era of NSA surveillance? $4,64 PER MONTH
The blunder of the century

VPN connections are worthless if you are doing anything more than pirating movies. The us govt likely runs several of them.

last jewllywood movie I watched was in 2008
what about anime? is it safe to download anime?

I donwload a bunch of shit all the time without a VPN

Nobody cares about anime. I was just making it clear if your are actually some kind of subversive or revolutionary or whatever you want to call it a vpn is not going to help you any.
Yeah vps are mostly unnecessary for piracy unless your isp actually gives a shit. But it would suck to get sued by one of those porn copyright trolls.

I'm forced to use jewcast and the worst I've ever got is angry DMCA emails

do you connect using netcast app by giving your credentials? isn't better to use a totally separate login authentication?

> Security implemented done by *BSD fags doesn't count.
Why?
> Some smart people make FDE algorithms and a reference implementation
> Apple promotes them to stupid masses and enforces by default

usually by using VPN you are allowing your VPN service to track you instead of your ISP
is this a correct statement?
If yes then using a VPN is always better

I literally don't know what you just said

If Apple had balls it would pull off China like Google so the rich kids from government officials could only use shitty chink phones.

Yes, unless you live in Japan

have you never questioned yourself how can your ISP contact you? that is because you are using a login which matches the email they have stored about you
Best thing that can happen is people stop using cellphones

they provide a email but I don't use it, only ever check it when I pay the bill
the way you're saying it is just weird

Depends on what you are using the vpn for, for piracy yes. If you are a whistleblower or whatever in the usa it probably does not matter as it is likely that the govt has compromised all usa based vpn services.

That is invariably Snowden's best quote.

Theres a big line between public knowledge and actual confirmation, user

Just don't torrent and you'll be alright.

And don't upload raws.
