As a Junior Network Engineer all these terms annoy the fuck out of me..

Just pick any of these.

But these are real terms. Or do ya mean people use them wrong or made it a cliche?

Any business term.

So is sales engineer, it's a specific job. Dunno what this motherfucker is on about.

But I can see why he'd hate that term. Ya work in sales, it's hardly an "engineer".

>samefag

>cloud

You mean "someone else's computer"

Don't they usually provide some sort of support and technical expertise as well, which is what makes them different from a regular salesperson?

Not that I know of. They may know about X product, but so does any other person working in sales whether it be for a hotel, telemarketer, or tech field.

Fuck you the unix philosophy is great and plan 9 embodies its next evolution

Perhaps they need engineering knowledge to make their sales. I was recruited to be a sales engineer a few times despite only having a regular software engineering background. The commissions were tempting but talking to people and drinking even more than I already do by myself doesn't sound great.

>This triggers me so fucking much and I don't even fucking know why.

Me too. Whenever I read it or even worse hear it I want to punch a wall and scream like a motherfucker and kidnap whoever came up with the fusion of these two worthless terms and fucking torture him to fucking death fuck FUCK

That acronym is used way too much.

Except startups refer to young businesses. A small business can be and often are old and have been passed down for a generation or two

You nailed it.

I saw some others in there as well.

I'll add these: penetration testing, white hat hacking, gray hat hacking and black hat hacking.

Internet of things (as was interpreted).

It had nothing to do with the original context. I was describing the web as being abstract. So, it definitely falls into the category.
