1000 Watt power supply required

>1000 Watt power supply required
Jesus christ

people that will buy whole 5 of these for $699 probably already have 1200w powersuply
the only relevant vega is the one for $399 and its 210w

>Radeon
>Radiator-on

mate its 400 watt PER CARD

that means the need like psu per fucking card almost

t. poorfag

>Sup Forums told me 850W is fine and 1000W was a meme

Wtf, that has to be a fucking joke.
Amd has fucked up badly if true.

850W would be fine for that card. They way overshoot requirements to account for garbage tier PSUs.

Yes, Vega is a joke. Releasing a card with a 345W TDP is the great joke ever told

>Year late 1080 performance for 190% the power consumption

So this is the power of the Pajeet running RTG.

My 850 titanium will work fine.

It'll run fine on any decent 750w too.
My 980ti gets past 300w with it's 1500mhz OC and no problems on 750w.
Pair it with a Skylake-X and yeah your psu is gonna explode

>tfw in 5 years there will be meme cards for twice the graphical power for only a 2000 Watt power supply requirement

>mfw they put a fucking blower cooler on this house fire.

>Burning finite resources so someone with autism can inefficiently play video games

this actually makes me fucking mad, there should be standards for this retarded shit, fuck poojeets and their burning turds

They always recommend way more than you need to cover all eventualities.

Hey, if I'm using a 650W PSU, and only have 200W of load on it before the Graphic's card, should I be okay?

If you're running this on X299, then yeah, you really would.

>Not living in a country with 100% renewable energy sources

yes...

Those illiterate AMDrones probably already have a 1000+ Watt PSU anyways.

AYYMD HOUSEFIRES!

Smart choice is to wait for partner GPUs with fan coolers and not blower style coolers.

I don't see them selling many of these things. Also like others said, the 1000w requirement is there for "overkill" reasons.

That requirement is for cheap chinkshit PSUs. My 390X called for a 750W PSU as well, still ran fine OCd on a 480W PSU.

Will it though?

I bought a 750W PSU a few months ago, I was planning to get the top tier Vega, but holy shit, those power requirements are off the fucking chain.

I've got a 1700x so at least that's good, but I would be very scared of using the liquid cooled RX Vega in my system because of that power draw.

Next to the 95 of your 1700x what do you think uses much power? Harddrive is about 20. That leaves the rest for your GPU.

I don't know how this shit works. Never even considered power draw to be an issue unless I would be using SLI/Crossfire, this is the first time I've ever thought about it for more than a minute.

They only say this so they can wash their hands and say, "We told you so!" when some idiot buys one and puts it in his iBuyPower machine that came with a 300W PSU.

M-mods?

Overestimating the requirements makes sense I guess. First though when seeing this was that they were gearing this card specifically for mining.

I just bought a 650W evga PSU. I swear 1000W is gonna be the new meme now. Fuck this shit. I'm Xbox Scorpio gamer now.

>Hard drive 20W
Are you fucking serious m8?

We saw over 9000 memes with fermi but zero with fury & vega and the fact is these cards are less efficient than gtx 480...

You really need to learn the difference between TDP and boardpower.

>implying the "recommended" specs aren't greatly exaggerated to con tech-illiterate people into buying it based on HIGHER NUMBERS MEANS IT'S BETTER

shhh
