These are the prerequisites for teaching in Japan without being sent to an elementary school in Gunma (at least for the weeb jobs).
I'm not sure if your experience is enough and I don't think they hire the weeaboos to work at the universities, but I do think that it's worth giving it a try to hear them out at job interviews, even as a small test.
Gaijinpot is good for experimenting in that sense, though there are no openings at the moment. I can't say if it's a good site to actually find a job though, I've heard complaints about it before.
Try your luck from around August to November and check out what they tell you in interviews, that's your best source of information.

I wonder how that will be for me, I am starting my masters this fall, I really hope all these horror stories I hear about competetiveness in research are just a lie and people are just living happily together doing research.
JSPS might really not be the worst place to start searching. Just look that up maybe it helps.
