Are there any long-term consequences to being deported?
I ask because I want to visit Europe but also don't want to pay for the plane ticket home. If I just overstay my visit and then turn myself in, blamo. Free plane ride.
I don't mind being handcuffed with scary police escorting me the whole way so long as I don't get convicted of a felony or something when I get back.
