My 4870 lasted from April 2009 to November 2015.

back to /r/amd and kill yourself

I have an msi 6670 from 2011 that is still working great, put 430 hours into gta 5 with it kek. never goes above 60 even when its maxed out.

I had the same exact one, it died in 2013. Apparently a lot of Sapphire HD6870s were faulty, you're lucky yours lasted as long as it did.
About time you upgraded anyways, even a fucking GTX 1050 is almost twice as fast.

I have had a faulty 7870 since 2012 and its still crashing like it did on the first day :)

>radeon

I had a reference Powercolor HD3870 back in the day, bought it at launch in 2007. It was overclocked, later I also did some pencilmods to it to push the Vcore a bit further. Held to it till 2011 when I sold it to my buddy. He still has it and apparently it's still going strong after almost 10 years of abuse. It's fucking incredible.

What the fuck is your buddy doing with a 3870

Most likely still playing CS:S or some other old games.
