I mean Finnish has plenty of common words loaned from Swedish but the grammar is completely different.
From what I've heard Finnish sounds more like Italian or/and Japanese.

Root language of Finnish is so called old-Turkish. Old Turkish isn't spoken today anymore because they died out in Turkey or moved north. This happened long ago, 11th century

Finnish sounds like Swedish because like 20% of our words are loaned from them and another 20% is from Russia and another 10% from German.
