Fx 6300 with 1050 ti or 1060

So i'm running an fx 6300 with a 1050 ti, runs Overwatch in Ultra at 80fps, PubG at 30-60, WoW at around 50 and so on.

I'm wondering if i should return this for the 1060, i understand it will bottleneck because of my cpu, but i plan on upgrading my mobo and cpu in a couple months, but as of now, will the switch to the 1060 gain me some fps? or will it be worse than what i'm getting now?

i will be paying $100 more if i go with the 1060

No, the FX 6300 is the cancer

Your CPU is bottlenecking battlegrounds.

I also have a fx 6300, that's the problem, 1060 won't help at all - start saving for ryzen.

depends of the price, if 1060, 570, 580, 470 or 480 are still available at a reasonable price, go for it.

i was just wondering if going to the 1060 would give me a 20fps boost from the 1050 ti

no, buy ryzen, even the cheapest one will give you +50% more power on each core compared to FX

1050 ti - $150
1060 ti - $250
paying $100 more for almost no performance gains

1050 ti vs 1060 is about 20-30 fps though

1060 3GB isn't worth getting over a 1050ti.
1060 6GB would be bottlenecked by the CPU pretty hard.

Will a 2500k bottleneck a 1060 6gb? Not overclocked btw

If yourselves videogametards.

will the 1060 give me better performance than the 1050 ti or worse?

What about an 8350 with a 1080

Probably not

Here is what you do. Load up a game at max graphical settings and look at the FPS. If you then change the graphics settings to low or lower the resolution a lot and gain barely any FPS, you know your CPU is what is holding you back.

ok i just did this, on GTAV on Very high setting i got Max 60 fps and min 30fps

when i switched to Normal/medium everything i was at Max 80fps and Min 60fps

should i make the switch to 1060 for 100 dollars for more fps?

no, you should consider suicide desu

Fine, just don't expect 100+fps in demanding titles

Try very high settings at 720p or lower
Some settings have a big impact on the CPU, while resolution doesn't

STUPID VIDEOGAMETARDS LEAVE THIS PLACE REEEEEEEEEEEEE

different issue with the similiar products
I'm looking at laptops with either a gtx1050ti or a gtx1060
it doesn't say so anywhere but I'm pretty sure laptops use a mobile version of said gpu
the CPU will be a i7-7700hq in either case
but the price difference is about 150€
is that truly worth it?
>get a tower pc and a thinkpad
I work in graphic design and I also need the 4k display that this device comes with and I need it in varying cities so I'm getting a laptop that is in your eyes overpriced anyways

Well I'm running a 8370 and 1060 and get 70 on OW , so how are you getting 80 ? Also you shouldn't , you should save and get a better one after you upgrade you cpu of course

Your CPU isn't giving the 1050 Ti enough to do. Getting a better GPU will just written the gap in your hardware. Even my 770 could crank out better framerates while using Wine. (DX9->OGL)

The Bulldozer family is shit.
Replace it.
