VEGA confirmed a complete and utter failure.

Jensen you need to stop shitposting and start making your own SSG competitor.
Also stop being so cagey about cucksumer Volta.

It's ogre

captcha = zero gaines

So a reference blower Vega 56 at stock clocks is about as fast as an OC'd AIB 1070, and this is bad? Once Vega 56 is overclocked it should be considerably better than an OC'd AIB 1070 in FS, FS:U and FS:E, so I don't see what the problem is at a $399 MSRP?

It is HILARIOSLY, MONSTROSLY bad, given the die size, ALU count and uarch improvements.
Vega is basically another R600.
This time it's even later.

Still pushing this fake news when SSG proven to be another flop

tweaktown.com/news/58669/nvidia-beats-amd-real-time-8k-video-editing/index.html

>AMD's demo of the Radeon Pro SSG was stuttering in front of our eyes

1070 MSRP is $350. You're only seeing it at $430-$450 due to minerfags.

Not that Vega won't sell out and be insanely inflated for the exact same reasons.

>Tweakertown

I take absolutely nothing out of that shithole seriously. Who are you more likely to believe, some dumbshit from there or the founder of RED cameras?

>AMD has promised to send me a Radeon Pro SSG when it launches
The article is literally faggot begging AMD for SSG sample (indirectly it is).

>minerfags

RX Vega is being market segmented by memory bandwidth rather than cutting down the chip, so attacking the chip size in this case is silly.

Also, the whole Vega line up at present has memory bandwidth issues that we still need to know whether those issues are fixable with BIOS updates, unless you are silly enough to assume that 20-30% regressions vs Fiji in raw memory bandwidth, effective texture bandwidth, and texel fill rate are intentional.

It's still silly.
486mm^2 die with a ton of uarch improvements barely beats 314mm^2 GP104.
It's retarded.

>sell radeon
>nvidia is my friend now
The jew is trembling

[laughter stops]
[deep breathing intensifies]

Deep breath laugh spam should be bannable, it's just useless Sup Forums tier shitposting.

Aside from that none of these results show the graphics score which is the important part, so this is really just a complete shitpost.

Ln2?

I already told you RTG is segmenting them by memory bandwidth rather than cutting down the chip.

If you want to claim Vega 10 is a failure in maximum performance you will have to see what it can do with four stacks of HBM2 and therefore double the memory bandwidth first.

I don't know why you fags keep arguing about this, they'll all be bought out by minders anyway. AMD will be happy, minders will be happy, and Sup Forumsfags can such nvidia's cock.

Pointless anyway. OC the memory to the absolute max FIRST, only then start boosting GPU clocks. The card is obviously memory bound FFS.

*min

There's no 4-stack Vega10.
Also 1080ti also has 484GB/s peak bw and yet it doesn't choke as hard.
Vega is DOA (well in consumer space).

>Liquid cooled version
>Power usage 500w+

kek

Apparently RTG was planing a Vega 10 x2 already. It'll both be cheaper and more effective to just put one Vega 10 and four stacks on one card.

Vega is very memory bandwidth hungry in gaming. That's why Vega 10 trades blows with full GP102 in stuff like Creo, Solid works and 3ds Max but competes with GP104 in games.

GP102 is also very bandwith hungry, just like any lotsaALU card.
As I said, Vega is DOA in consumer space.
It's too big, too hot and underpowered.

Hell, Fiji was a bottleneckfest, but this is even WORSE.
How the hell did they even fuck up this much, given Polaris was really decent.
Fuck 4k ALU Polaris would've performed better.

It's overpowered (in watts). Just not in where it counts (3D).

At least Rys confirmed driver runs primitive shader NGP path for you.
You don't need to explicitly code for it.
Creo and Solidshit are very much tree dee.

Repeat after me:
Oc 1070 performance
1080Ti pricing
Titan xp sli power draw

Repeat after me:
It'll take three years for nvidia to engineer something at least distantly resembling HBCC.
Hell it took 5 years for nvidia to reach unified memory.

...

Is this CLC edition?
I guess they enabled DPM7.

Barely matches a 1080

>DOA
Vega 56 > 1070 and Vega 64 > 1080 out of the gate without even fixing the memory bandwidth issues yet doesn't look DOA to me.

Assuming they CAN fix them.
They'd definitely fix the for launch.
That's not the case.
Vega is DOA for consumers.

Well they'd better have it fixed for the reviews otherwise it's gonna be a shitshow.

They didn't fix it.
FS scores would be significantly different if Vega could saturate the ALUs.
Hell they can trim Vega10 to 2.5k ALUs and it'll perform the same.

It begins

HELL YEA RYS IS SPILLING THE BEANS ABOUT NGP

Ah yes, because RTG is well known to have lots of manpower to sort out issues like this ASAP. Look, Vega 56 is faster than an AIB 1070 and Vega 64 is faster than an AIB 1080, that's plenty good enough to not be DOA at launch.

Someone is going to have to interview RTG and ask them if the bandwidth issues can be fixed. They should have to be software, since if they were hardware there was plenty of time to respin.

They were supposed to fix everything for launch, user.
It's GPU market, first impression is EVERYTHING here.
Vega is DOA for consumers.

>Oc 1070 performance
Looks like that's true for the cheaper Vega 56
>1080Ti pricing
Minerfags.
>Titan xp sli power draw
If you OC it maybe.

Sold out.

Miners won't touch RX Vega. 1070 is.just better at mining.

Why is nvdia better at implementing hbm2 than amd? It would be nice if we can get this in the consumer space with actual improvements over gddr5.

source: your ass

>Why is nvdia better at implementing hbm2 than amd?
U wot.

SAD

so will vega be the king of the bang for the buck midrange tier?

What I hate the most is that there is still a strong possibility I will have to stick with my 290x for another extended period of time.

A little higher but if you want 4k gayming go with a r7 1700 and 1080ti

I don't know 56 looks alright for 1440p and 210w is within "good tdp" margin
I can see why they would push reviews for that more, I probably will get aib one.
390 served me too well these years compared to 560 and 770 previously to go nvidia.
Also have a few hopes about HBCC and TDP management resembling ryzen.
Everyone didn't notice but vega is the first amd card that downclocks under 20w idle, there is certainly finer hardware control over votlage there.

hurry up faggot time

meanwhile the RED ceo shillied for amd publicly
gee i wonder who knows better about rendering

meanwhile raja publicly said his first gpu will be navi due to it being an mcm

but Sup Forums brasilian sopa de flying macaco knows better

Doesn't change the fact that vega is putting out a bizarrely poor performance, especially for its size.

If that were true it would do well in old games that can load virtually everything into memory

DELET DIS good sir

>wait

Yehuda plz, turn off your computer, it is not kosher to use it during Shabbat.

I'm calling Vega a steaming pile of shit.
Reasons:
1. So called leaks say it's the best mining GPU.its a blatant way to get sales with lacking gaming performance.
2. AMD shilling value bundles
3. Arguing Vega is cheaper if you include a monitor
4. Matching or losing to a year old gtx1080
5. 2x the power draw of a 1080
6. All these price to performance argument.
Miners will jack up prices and because AMD fans are poor as fuck, they won't buy Vega.

it's amd's fermi equivalent
