How do I turn my RPi3 into a media server that embeds them as .mp4 .mp3 etc. so it works for cytube?
I have no idea what to search for, and the creator of cytube won't tell me how to do it.

i did that with one of my rpi's. Went through a lot of bullshit trying to hack it together. Save yourself from the major headache: install gentoo on it. Honestly. Gentoo is made for the pi.

Embeds to mp4/mp3? You could write a simple script to have ffmpeg watch a folder and convert all files to your desired format.

Go to gearbest and get a Beelink or other cheap Windows puck style computer that's designed for serving up media files. The Pi is initially cheaper but by the time you purchase a case, a power supply, and an SD card (probably should buy a spare too since the Pi often fries them), you're close to the price of an actual media player.

So they don't stream stuff themselves, you need something else to do that.
