Elitebooks use a magnesium alloy for the chassis. They also have hardware features that the macbook doesn't have. I understand that it's a 2008 computer so I won't be a dick about it but I had one of those HP laptops that was manufactured in 2013. Yeah the build is very good but the difference between Apple and HP is this:

My old EliteBook came with a 1920x1080 display and a 7200RPM HDD. Thankfully, due to it not being a shitty Apple product, I can change that HDD out for an SSD without any problems.
The only problem with it is that the battery life isn't fantastic, but mind you, it has an old SB i7, and I typically never have to use it somewhere that I can't just charge the laptop.

I do. I own an iPhone 6s. That doesn't mean their Macbooks are tougher than Elitebooks, and, if they aren't, then Macbooks are not better than Elitebooks "in every way."
