Burn it can be hit and miss, my 3 year old galaxy s5 doesn't have any noticeable burn in from on screen elements but there is some noticeable screen degradation only on certain background colors
If you have software keys then you'll probably get tons of burn-in, plus the icons in the notification bar are almost always on screen and they're white, so even more burn-in there...

Not really. The only software burn in I've seen was on an android one phone which an LCD screen. Notification colors keep changins since forever on android now and use an app that adapts navbar colours if you are so paranoid. LCD is unusable once you get used to oled screens.
