You asked, and I aim to please

PSU card

Range delay card

RCU assembly card

...

Mostly unpopulated card, not so comfy...

Logic card, 2 for 1

This must have been reworked by the previous owner. Its sloppy but functional.

*VROOOMs away*

Ooh, active filters, very comfy card, look at those cute op-amps in a can!

Buffer amp card

Ohms conversion card

That's beautiful user
What does this computer do?

AC converter board but its shielded, that simply will not do.

Problem solved

Quick shot of the bus board

And nixie drive circuitry, at least part of it.

Its a DMM! And a rather old one at that. It predates 7 segment displays and doesn't even measure current, at least not directly. It has 5.5 digits and resolution down to 10 microvolts and 100 micro-ohms. Pretty fancy at the time.

wtf how am I supposed to carry it in my pocket

You're gonna need a really big pocket.

...

Back when even dual PCB cards used one PCIe power connector.

...

>4 8-pin connectors

Someone thought is was a good idea to stick two R9 290X onto one card.

So in order to actually follow the PCIe standards, that many connections are necessary.

A 1000W PSU is actually justified in such a system, if you want some headroom.

Here's mine!

Get a full-tower case with spots for multiple PSUs.

Controller cards from an Equallogic SAN

>not posting one of the weirdest gpus ever

shame

Here's the inside of the unit on the right

...

Yes, that's four 486s on an ISA card.

I must admitt i never seen one in real life though

And some DSPs on the back

is that one of those weird dell/whatever addon cards that just added connectors and output circuitry for the existing chipset GPU?

I have a similar one somewhere in the attic.

Please tell me you live in yurop

not exactly, what's your deal?

I've been looking for an EMS card for my XT for quite a while and I wanted to buy yours.

It's supposed to be in a backplane right? Can you give more info about it?

I never tried it myself, but it was given to me as dead, so I doubt it'll be of any use. And I don't really want to sell it, it goes quite nice with other old stuff I have like core memory, punch cards and reel-to-reel data tapes.

It was in a humongous 6U rack with like 14 ISA slots, one of them had a Pentium 4-based SBC. I have two other cards which are effectively half this, with two 486s. I think they are some kind of telephone line multiplexers, I remember reading something about them being able to do 64 lines per pair of BNCs

I just found this tiny bad boy in a trash bin, works pretty well on my slim pc.

I miss big capacitors and components, had that aesthetic.

Well, AMD thought about it and is proud about it

Neato

I was thinking about one of these

Sounds pretty interesting, thanks

I like you.... You know the meaning of comfy

11/10

but why would you just leave a hard drive unplugged like that?

but why?

Cute

This bad boy. X800 GTO, first GPU I bought new.
You could unlock pipelines and overclock it making it essentially a X850 XT PE for a fraction of the price.

ooo, what is it?
im always looking to expand my collection if itty bitty GPUs and i havent seen that heatsink, i dont have any OEM HP cards either

Apple ][ Mockingboard

...

this thing is surprisingly powerful

i got it for free, i would never pay full price for this thing.

2000-2007 or so had comfiest cards

Sick

>glued together 486s

I have that one

neat

Used until 2014, when I got money to buy a new one.

So much good times playing every game with this little warrior.

increase your hard drive storage with a hardcard!

hurr hurr

spent a few years with pic related.
in hindsight its kinda surprising it could run BF2

It even says Twitch on the little mascot printed on the fan. Aww.

Literally the comfiest card of all time.

I'm going to pull the trigger on this one. How fucked I am?

>he will lead you to the promised land of sick ass early 00s graphics

Anything Voodoo or AIW Radeon. I have a 3Dfx and ATI from 2000

Comfiest card.

Soo, I just bought a second one of these on ebay for $65 because I guess I like wasting money. According to the seller it doesn't power on so I can already narrow the problem down to the power supply board. I have the service manual with schematics plus a working reference unit so I should be able to get things up and running. Hopefully there aren't other issues as well.

I am mildly concerned because the +18V rail seems to be derived from the 200V rail via Q1, Q2, R2, R3, and R4. If R2 and Q2 failed short circuit for whatever reason the +18V rail would be pulled up to 200V which would cause cascading failures throughout the device. I think that is unlikely though.

I also picked up a tested working Fluke 8840A 5.5 digit VFD DMM similar to that HP/Agilent 6.5 digit one that I don't remember the model number of. Supposedly they are pretty nice, I'm fairly certain I have the true RMS AC voltage/current option but the listing said the GPIB option was removed which I can live without.

Deleted out of shame because I forgot pic.

>Thinking g knows anything about electrical engineering.
You are on the wrong board m8.

The best value GPU in 2002 was also one of the best looking... Asus Geforce 4 Ti4200.

SILENCE
FINALLY

>HIS

This sexist shit wouldn't pass muster today

That paint job is amazing

I have a gtx 670 with the mono. 60c at load and it's dead silent.

Underrated post

My Windows 95 2D/3D card, a Matrox Mystique.

I had that

I remember when everyone and his dog was putting Blue Orbs on their video cards and northbridge chips. I loved those little things.
