Tor really just hides your IP and replaces TLS between you and onion services. TorBrowser helps you scrap a few fingerprintings, but turning off JS is far more secure.

A good handful of those issues still exist. The post was chronicling the list of Tor's massive fuckups over the years proving they're nothing but charlatans. They made an addon for Firefox that linked your Tor browsing habits to your native browser for God's sake. They know nothing about what they're doing.

urm, sorry to make you feel so stupid honey but onion routing is not tor. Onion routing and encryption is the way tor and other services I'll never reveal to a normie like you work. It's basically an at least 3 key encryption mechanism over at least three nodes. This way a node can only know what's before and what's after it and cannot see the message encrypted.
So.... except the cases normies like you would use JS or flash in the native resolution of their computer screen to browse facebook and feel "xD private" onion encryprion cannot be beaten when working with plaintext information and environments except IF your isp and the server at the END of the nodes that receives the unencrypted messages actually communicate and have an agreement on busting you for any of your illegal actions.
Onion is not just Tor.
