>have $1500 credit
>buy shitbook

wow

dumb frogposter

Even teenagers are seen as more worthy members of society than you, dumb frogposter. Time to do the right thing.

Prepaid debit.

Stop attempting to live in debt for a shitty fagbook, user.

Walk into an Apple Store and write a check.

> Debit
> Limit
What?

Really? I got my credit limit to $6000 after just a few years.
You must suck at paying off your card.

Debit limits are actually pretty common when dealing with shitty accounts like "free checking." Reason being that it puts a hard limit on the bank's financial responsibility in the event of a card being stolen. If you have accounts that mandate a minimum balance or the like, they usually waive this limit because the amount of money they make off your minimum daily balance (or the fees for not meeting it) makes the reward worth the risk.

The real red flag is the dude's credit limit. 2 years ago, I had a credit score of 580, and today, it's 707. My credit limit has gone from 300 per month to 5500. If I were to use a secured credit card, my score would be even higher.

im 21 and got my first card 6 months ago. credit score hasnt even registered on fico yet

Call your bank and ask them to increase your limit temporarily so you can get a MacBook you dumbass.

you should buy over the internet anyway, you get a better return policy
go to the bank and ask for a higher limit obviously? wtf

I have like 5 credit cards all with 10k+ limit. Stop being poor.

so your credit card account got hacked?

Nah. I had a bad year a few years back. Wound up homeless, and with a maxed credit card, and didn't get a forbearance on my student loans.

Best thing that ever happened to me, in hindsight. Got my head out of my ass, and made me realize how much the chick I was with loved me (she had offers to go stay with her family, but she chose to stay with me). Busted my ass, got a good job, paid off my student loans and credit card debt, and married the most loyal chick I've ever met - one that was literally willing to go homeless with me, living out of a car and surviving on ramen noodles and truck stop showers during a brutal Midwestern winter.

My only advice is keep it paid off.
You'll get your first limit increase pretty quickly if you do and they just keep coming after that.

That's odd. Are you using an actual checker, like Credit Karma or Creditwise?

Congrats user, looks like you found the one and reeled in at the right time.

Shit user that sounds intense what you went through. But glad you're back on your feet and married someone that actually loves you :)

Get a payday loan

Thanks. Really feels like I won the lottery when it comes to my wife. And I would rather win the spousal lottery than the actual lottery. I probably would have killed myself during that period if not for her.

Stories like this make me wish I wasn't too perfect for a relationship

The key to a good relationship, in my opinion, isn't the avoidance of fighting, or finding someone that's just like you. It's being willing to never give up on someone who is willing to never give up on you.

Also, if you haven't gone through the shit that would make you comfortable to literally put your life on the line, get married in Texas. Look up alimony laws there. Worst case scenario, you lose 20% of your income per month for two years. Child support still exists, but I'm not of the opinion that it shouldn't exist, even if the laws are a little screwy.

If you have the money in your bank to buy the product, but your debit card's limit is less than the cost of said product, you have to go down to your bank and request a temporary lift of said limit. It's a really simple process. You might have found out about it if, when setting up your bank account, you had the common sense to ask your banker, "what if I need to buy something that is over my debit limit?"

DON'T USE YOUR CREDIT TO BUY SHIT LIKE THIS!

It's important at your age to keep paying it off. Use your cart to buy groceries or gas, then immediately pay those off with debit.

If you put a large purchase on it, you end up paying interest.

talk to your bank and they can raise your limit for a single day, that's how I pay my tuition.

>wtf do i do
Hang yourself.
Easy.

People are beyond stupid. You can't help them.
When they see "35% APR" they think "ooh free money".

Which is true if you're the credit card company.

i see what you're saying user, having a stable life and being married with a loyal women seems like something money can't beat

It depends what you want out of life. Some people don't want the responsibility that marriage brings, and have no interest in children, or they just don't like the odds enough to play the game.

I don't want children, but I do like the feeling of having someone who has my back no matter what, even if it does take work to maintain. Money really can't buy that. That said, a loyal wife will not enable me to purchase a multi-million dollar home. So yeah, it's all about what you want out of life. I don't judge people with different priorities than me. I'd rather people take a different path and be happy than walk the same path and be miserable.

Not OP, but I actually set a debit withdrawal limit myself so it's less hassle to fix if Tyrone nigs my wallet.

you press this weird button on your smartphone and "call your bank"

I only keep a prepaid debit card in my wallet, and transfer cash from my bank account to the prepaid card account whenever I'm making a purchase.

My bank's debit card is kept in a safe.

>Call bank
>Tell them you want a higher limit for the day
>Withdrawal the money needed

Unless you have super shit credit and they won't. They usually have withdraw limits for security if someone steals your card+info they can't empty out your bank account in one day

pay with cash.
stop putting yourself into debt for shit hardware, retard

I know that this might be strange to americans.
Have you considering not buying shit on credit?
Why tie yourself to debt? If you want to pay it back, you must have an income. Why not save cash? And if you can't save.. Then why are you buying it in the first place if you can't afford it?

i agree with this user. it opened up my eyes & haven't even realized this, damn

yeah im just going to walk into the apple store with $2k+ in bills...

Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics and Kalil Gibran's The Prophet did a good job making me into the person I am today. You can probably get an epub of them for free (I know you can read The Prophet for free online - and its a short read). If you're wanting more revelations like that, I'd recommend giving them a read at least once.

>Order a prepaid debit card
>Load said debit card up with the money you will need in order to purchase what you want by using your bank debit card to load it to the maximum amount
>Walk into apple store
>Use prepaid debit card
I mean, I know that it must be tough to troubleshoot problems (which is probably why you are looking to get an apple product), but this really didn't take much creativity to come up with.

If you walk out of the store you're walking out with 2k+ of electronics.

i'll give it a try user, thank you very much!

Debit limit?
LMAO
What a pathetic americuck

From Russia with Love

Happy to help.

Is there a downside to not accepting the increase? I passed last time they offered 'cause I'm admittedly not great with money and didn't want the temptation.

Yes. Your credit score is partially calculated by the percentage of your credit that you use - the lower the percentage the better. So charging 500 dollars to an account that has a 1000 dollar limit would be using 50% of your available credit on that card, which would be bad, while charging the same amount on a card with a 5k limit would only be 10%, which is good.

is Russia how the internet should have been?

>piracy
>freedom
>pornos
>cheap shit

wtf, this makes no fucking sense. I frequently charge near my limit, but I pay it off in full every month. I thought using the card was good for credit. Why should I be penalized if I always pay in full?

I'll admit I should have educated myself on this. I'm retarded.

Tell me the truth, you have a giant dick dont you

But I'm glad you got your shit together though, excellent job.

It depends when you pay off your credit, and when your credit card company reports your credit history with them. If you pay it off the day before they report, it will show 0% utilization, which is really good. But if you pay it off the day after they report, it shows near 100% utilization.

I would recommend using a credit checking app, like creditwise or creditkarma, which allows you to check your credit score once per week for free. I think discover also has something like that.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the tips, user.

Happy to help. Gotta beat the bankers at their own game, after all.

7.25 inches. I don't think its giant. It's sizable, though.

SEPA

Just tried creditkarma. Says my credit score is good, so that's a relief.

That's good. Be sure to check out how they measured your scores. Gives you ideas on what you can do to improve the score.

In my country the debit limit it's like ~400 use daily (debit card), as an security feature. And if you want to spend more you always can use an check. However the credit cards doesn't have limit.

Who would marry a duck?

What the fuck I have like 15k credit limit over a few cards and I got my first card this year.

How are you yanks so utterly cucked?
Doesn't your bank give you a debit card with chip/pin and contactless to use for your accounts?

I'm a poor syudent and my spending limit is $2000 a day, I can raise that higher if I want and overdraft by $2000 (for a substantial fee, mind you).

It's just $1500 The poorest of fags with a job could save that in ~6 months.

dont buy things you cant afford

>must had serveral debts and paid it off in order to be able to require a loan

Can't make this shit up. The only debt I have it's house mortgage and I've done it simply showing my last 3 payrolls.

but muh american dream

dem feels, i guess loyal women do exist after all. this gives me hope.

>max them out buying those legal tender gold $1 and $10 coins on eBay
>deposit them in your local bank
>??????
>profit!

Its also a really good way to scam your credit company out of a ton of free airline miles, and boost your credit like fuck.

> be non-american
> buy things with real money instead of creating debt with a creditcard
feels good man

>be non - American
>can't finance anything because credit doesn't exist, and your shilling job only pays 0.02AUD per shitpost, also you live in India, so that doesn't even make sense come at me

Nah we do have credit cards in The Netherlands but they are used very seldom, mostly for hotels and air ports. Also I'm 25, just finished my bachelor (which I paid for myself), have 0 debt and make somewhere about 3000 ameribucks a month so I don't complain

>Tfw US, no degree, 27, will own (have paid off) my home next year, and make the same amount as you.

Prooooud to beeee an Amurricaaaaan

>manufactured spending
ayyyyyyyy

...good idea

I'm genuinely happy for you, but don't forget that 15% of the Americans live below the poverty line

That's pretty good, considering over 30% of us are black

>same amount
I guess not, in The Netherlands they pay shitload of taxes for social welfare. If he make 3 grands after taxes he probably make 5 bifore them.

I think you mean 12.6%?

Hey, at least we have a great social system in case I have any medical problems, high personal security and one of the best infrastructure in the world, I'd be happy to pay taxes for that

I live near Atlanta, so no, I don't.

>including spics in white so amerifats don't feel bad about being 52% white
lol

You do know you have to have at least 18 years of life on this planet to stay on this website?

damn that must suck bro

You can always go back to your roots, Jamal. :^)

Withdraw cash today and again tomorrow, buy cash. Are you retarded?

If only their was some sort of ancient magical device that didn't have a limit.

how does this shit even work, checks? Are those still a thing in the US and A?

Most cards come with 0% Apr for first time customers now

checks are still a thing but they're in massively declining use. you fill out the front with the date, who you want to pay, and how much. bottom contains the routing number of the bank (identifies the bank, for larger banks usually the state that the account was opened in), the account number, and a serial number for the check. they aren't terribly secure since all the information needed to make a fake check is printed on the check itself, but if you dispute a check payment the money is returned to the originating account.

people used to do this from the US mint and then they put the kibosh on this by eliminating free shipping and put a surcharge to eliminate the rewards on credit card purchases.

Just do it with Ebay.
Tbh the shipping cost is worth, when you're building credit and getting rewards

Can someone link to the coins?
Also, didn't realize buying on ebay got you reward points on your card.

I see, thanks for the info

>credit limit is 1000
>debit limit is 1500/day
Just change it then? You can set those in your Internet Banking easily. Or at the bank.

>the absolute state of apple poorfags

This. You know debit limits are under your control, right? You can lower or raise them as you like, permanently or temporarily.

Depends, the self sacrifice that come with it and the dismantling of the self to enable codependency is something that not everyone is looking for. Money, freedom and the independence to make of that what you want can enable one to have a lot of good experiences in this life.

>wahhhhh
>I can't buy something with money I don't have

tfw i just paid off 30K of credit card debt in a month and finally realize why you should pay purchases off right away

>be NEET coasting off birthday money + money I saved when I was a wagecuck normie + investments + inheritances
>buy something with CC
>pay it off immediately
>have superb credit score
>bank falls to their knees and sucks my dick whenever I walk in
>no credit limit despite having no job

Is the checking your credit score often negatively affects it meme really a meme or is there some credence to it?

Pulling a report more than once a year will have an impact because it's behavior associated with trying to open a line of credit. Obviously extending your liability in that way would make you a bigger risk.

However there are "soft" checks which are really just pretty accurate estimates of your credit score (notice how it's score and not history) that you can do whenever you want. Lots of card companies will even include it on your monthly statement just for kicks.
