I am thinking of trying to quit spotify and going back to hording music. I guess a private tracker would be easiest to get started again. What is "the best" music tracker, bruhs?
PS: I listen to nearly everything. Atm mostly german/canadian rap and drum n bass. Any help would be nice. thanks
Grayson Nguyen
Thanks user Any suggested seedbox or vpn? Apparently mullvad is meant to be good

Music trackers are notoriously hard to get into since What.CD's death The easiest one to get into atm only deals in Asian Music, so unless that's your thing....

Adam Carter

Hard as in you can't get in unless you get an invite from one of the members There sometimes are recruitment threads on other private trackers but you sound like a complete newbie so that doesn't apply
Jordan Gray
only italiankitty cares about that
Adam Jones
>you sound like a complete newbie so that doesn't apply Well I know how they work and I am a member of a really really niche one (extremebits) for years now, but don't really use them for anything else

I actually found a way to cheat the system without actually cheating.
Unless you're into weird shit IPT has it all, the one exception is music.
Just get a seed box for 1 month at 5$, auto snatch freeleech releases and you're basically set for life! You don't even have to seed anything anymore!
H&R everything and just buy off your debt with your motherfucking huge buffer that you can spend as much as you want of for literally years.
Don't fall for all the HDB and PTP memes.

What's worth my time from RED's invite forums apart from Bib, Emp, GGn, MAM (kinda worth it) and Jpop/AB (worth it for weeaboos)?
Joshua Brown
Before I start, I don't mean to spark up any argument.
So I saw this post a couple weeks ago. It was a blog post about PTP and its size.
Lots of the comments on this post were about how this flags up trackers. Do people really think that industries need a reddit post to tell them about certain trackers? A quick Google search shows all the information they would need, such as tracker reviews which show vast numbers of screenshots.
NB: Like the rest of you, I also want trackers to live as long as possible. I made a post about it!

Obviously people know about private trackers. LE and anti-piracy groups can join them easily.
It's not that trackers are some well kept secret but they are just too small to matter. Why go after a site that has thousands of snatches per torrent when streaming sites and public trackers have >100x that. Getting bigger means more attention but the nobody knows how much that actually matters. Probably very very little.
WCD got too relevant, maybe RED does too some day. On the other hand trackers like pedros or exigo never.

>Apollo is probably the best and is looking like a solid replacement for WCD. RED seems like more of a backup like waffles. Apollo hemorrhaging users. Staff turning off torrent and user inactivity scripts as an emergency reaction. Staff begging users for money because it would be "unthinkable" not to. Users waiting for everyone else to upload because all of the people who came in during open signups are useless dead weight who don't know how to upload, seed, or do anything but freeleech.
But good luck with that.
Juan Cox
>RED is still faking stats. When Apollo is literally turning off inactivity scripts, you can't just say "red faking stats" and have it stick. It's meaningless.
Jack Stewart
>What is "the best" music tracker, bruhs? Take the RED interview. It's not hard if you know your stuff. If you don't, they want you to pass, just like What.CD did:
>Yes I am. >we want actual discussion, not an autistic "insane ____" meme spammer man
In terms of actual stats, Apollo used to have about twice as many users. Now it has less. But Redacted always had more torrents, because of how the two sites originated and recruited. Apollo started with open recruitment, poor OPSEC, and freeleech. This created an environment where most of the freeloaders went there first, because it was the easier tracker to get into. The heavy uploaders were mostly uneasy about the poor OPSEC, and took the RED path.
So, Redacted has consistently had about double the torrents, regardless of the size of the userbase. Given the shrinking size of Apollo's userbase, the only reason the number of torrents hasn't been shrinking there instead of remaining mostly flat is because staff there turned the torrent inactivity script off after having several weeks of downtime.
This means a lot of their content is unseeded and underseeded compared to redacted.
"t. insane ____ spammer" types will contest some or all of this. But it's factual and based on numbers and the history of the two sites.
