If you were to spent a year in an international station in South Pole, Alaska and you could carry a laptop with you with 250gb, how you would you fill its HDD?

Sup Forums archives

multiple copies of The Thing

ebooks and videotuts for progamming

and few games like baldurs gate2

Beastiality videos

Vidya and porn

Also a ton of books probably like 10gb worth so I have stuff to read/learn when I'm burnt out of Vidya&porn

- 2GB loli doujins
- 100GB roms & emulators
- 100GB moobies & music
- 48GB memes

>250gb
>HDD
I would use time traveling to do more interesting things than going to South Pole

250 gb of Chinese cartoons

They have it there and watch it every year.

Are you going there?

100 gb of very lossy compressed Chinese cartoons @ 360p and 20 fps to save space.
50gb of N64, SNES, Gameboy, and some other consoles roms (including emulators).
10gb of Books in ".txt" and compressed.
10gb of Porn using the same method in the Chinese cartoons.
10gb of programming utilities and compilers.
2gb of manuals to learn other language (probably Italian).
20gb of lossy compressed music at low bitrate.
5gb Unironically a copy of minecraft = random infinite world generation, low on resources. It would take me a long time of getting bored with that.
Some sort of AI that is semi realistic and I can talk to not feel alone, also the AI is able to play simple games like chess.
5gb of unironically Sup Forums archives (with no images).
The rest of space would be filled with essential shit like OS and compression / decompression programs. And if there was more space just download more roms or Chinese cartoons.

>not using satellite to connect to internet

Wouldn't the magnetic field mess with the hard drives?

Gentoo + vim + gcc

Anything else is bloat.

I'd fill it with an os.
They have internet you know.
i'll be /rare/ on Sup Forums

My Sup Forums folder to organize shit.

>5gb

>International station
>Mericun flag

As many anime as I can fit there, which is to say not much.
I'd just bring a bunch of physical books, and music on my phone :^)

what the fuck is south pole alaska?

Also, you're overestimating how much size books take up. Textfiles.com is around 1GB compressed.

250GB is a bit unrealistic for a scientific trip but OK, I'll play along.

Some old games with tons of play time. I'm talking Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate, Anno 1503 or 1602 etcand maybe some oldschool shooters to keep things interesting. And of course the obligatory SNES emulator with hundreds of games. I wouldn't spend more than 25GB on games though.

A fuckton of audiobooks. 64kb/s is enough for voice recording. I want audiobooks more than anything. I'm virtually listening to audiobooks through all my free time. Up to 20 hours a day if I'm not working.

Most importantly, books. They don't take up much space and still keep you entertained for eternity. I guess if you're really into reading you could get entertainment for a year with only a few gigabytes worth of books.

100 yify movies

You didn't say I don't have internet so I'm gonna take a web browser to access my cloud storage. Fuck you.

Don't forget to download some shit from Stack Overflow, Ask Ubuntu etc archive.org/details/stackexchange
