Enjoy your "Basic telemetry" assrape (the lowest setting) lmao

>kirinopost
>ever

>one is an os the other a browser, they are totally the same
microsoft stated that it's not possible to turn it off
firefox gives you an option for it, and did you miss the threads since that implementation where people constantly bitch about it? you dense retard

this

>"they told me i can shut it off so it must be true"

:^)

unlike microsoft they can't hide the sourcecode, and you are free to check if they phone home even though it is disabled if you find it to be the case then they will have to do something unlike microsoft who did not even pretend to enable it to be disabled

I think he is not defending windows and its telemetry. He is saying firefox's disabling telemetry option shouldn't be acceptable like how windows' is not

Firefox is just a piece of shit no matter if it has telemetry or not. Firefox starts lagging if I have 3 videos playing, but chrome can go to 15+ without lagging at all.

she*

hey did you know that intel has the ability to phone home without ever actually showing up in system resources?
hmm i wonder why linuxfags think they're free from this

>he can't log connections in his router
what are you? retarded?

ITT things that never happened

Lel. Also

Retarded b8

The difference is Firefox is open source so you can tell if you actually can disable it or not.
You can.
.

And you don't even have to jump through hoops and get shady third-party programs to disable it either, you can just flip a couple toggles and blank out a URL in about:config and you're good to go.

Open source.

thanks faggot.
i'm goin to watch eromanga sensei right fucking now

> Supernatural
Hey mum I'm retarded.

found a cuck

Seamonkey pulls from Firefox codebase so they will also have the telemtry.

IceCat + Linux libre or gtfo shill.

>enable it to be disabled
Are you retarded?

why do you feel the need to play more than one video?

are you?

>he thinks the NSA would let his backdoored router see that traffic

>literally to dumb to tell the difference between proprietary and free software
Didn't expect anything else from a windooze user tbqf

>he doesn't build his own router with Stalman approved hardware and software

Firecucks is too fast for me to abondon it at this point. Is there any forks that uses webextensions (and e10s of course)?

wait for next version of tbb that will be based on 59esr

59 ESR will be released on June 2018 though.

>Implying anyone said that about firefox
nice one
Sup Forums hates Firefox since Mozilla started caring more about the color of their employees skin than the quality of FF
Ungoogled-Chromium is the only good browser left

surf/luakit or gtfo

I trust mozilla with my data

>firefox MAY start using telemetry
Obvious fix.

>Ungoogled
Nice meme.

>Chinese Miku
For what purpose.

No, they don't have to

Firefox is free software. It's also just a web browser, not an operating system. If you can't see the difference, you need to try a bit harder.

Telemetry should never be opt-out

firefox is a shit.
With that being siad windows "telemetry" is different. They read, analyze, edit, and blatantly delete your files that they dont agree with. Their "off switch" literally turns itself back on randomly.
Furthermore the "you cant turn it off" thing comes from the fact that the telemetry youre talking about and the telemetry we are talking about are actually baked into the operating system itself, something they dont provide you the api to actually turn off.

Fireshits telemetry is crash data and right wing extremist websites visted, windows telemetry is a literal ring 0 root kit.

I haven't seen anyone defend Firefox's opt-out telemetry.
And I leave Windows 10 basic telemetry on.

>Windows, can't confirm it's turned off
>Firefox, can confirm that it's off because it's open source free software that respects my freedoms

Checkmate.

>Fireshits telemetry is crash data and right wing extremist websites vistes
So this is the power of privacy oriented browsers for open web
