first for 4 month assdrop delay

These meme keyboards are getting ridiculous!
Whats next? a fucking keyboard with 10 keys that have multiple letters and functions on each key?

>not wanting a mechanical T9 board

Anything 60% and below is purely a meme

heyguyshowdoyoulikemynewkeyboard

A 1 key keyboard for binary input. 1 key press is 0, 2 key presses isn rapid succession is 1.

why is there an Ä on that keyboard when Ö and Ü aren't present?

kek

Where to buy this keyboard?

>XXX button
Does it actually type "xxx"? My porn googling could be better.

Юpий бyдeт дyть, дyть бyдeт юpий!

I'm going to get an ISO POK3R RGB with mx reds and then switch them to Gateron Blue.

Never ever did any kind of soldering, but I guess a friend has one, so he will lend it to me.
What other tools should I get and what's a good guide on how to solder? Also, any other recommendations since it will be my first """"""mod""?

>not using half a key press as 0, and a full key press as 1

I currently have pic related. Corsair K65 with cherry reds. Works great. I however dislike the keys. Do they make keycaps that would fit this keyboard? I'd like to just get plain black caps.

nth for 75%

>using an analog keyboard
whew lad

best fucking layout ever. Just got my Drevo Excalibur and I love it. The font is shit and I'm gonna change caps soon buth otherwise this thing is amazing.

should have bought a 60% this is my layout

Can't live without function keys. Some things just can't be done in layers. A keyboard isn't an Ogre.

but its MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEEEE
YOU FUCKO

Every half second of no input is a 0 and every half second of input is a 1

That would keep users all over the planet perfectly synchronized. Genius!

>assdrop
why

With this we'd be one step closer to a superior biological CPU. Just think of the possibilities. I could make it suck my dick!!!

75% is my layout, faggot

are your wrists cool after typing for a long time? That seems like it has a lot of action. Looks super kewl tho

Bought my first 75% in 2013 FAGGOT! Pic related is from back then. Now I have a white choc mini .
ITS MY LAY OUT
how do i convince all of you pieces of shit to go back to your shitty meme 60%, TKL, and full size boards? I hate this. IM THE SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE MEMEMEMEMEEME MEME MEMEM EME NOT U

I'm pretty sure all the upper part of the keyboard has standard sized keys, so any keycap would fit, only the bottom part have different sizes, they do make keycaps that fit it sure, you just have to look for the dimensions and make sure it's the same.

>thinking I didn't build a 75% keyboard before they were available to buy

Is there such a thing like a TKL but instead of removing the numpad, the nav buttons are ditched?

Ok I'll look around. That seems to be the general thought in the K65 as well. That it fits all major keys, just the bottom row has a 6.5x space bar and the keys are an odd size.

The question is now though. Text? Or blank caps? I'll be going with plain black caps and was in the fence about side printed or no print.

>implying I haven't used the OG 75% since the early 2000s

Recommend me 75% boards.
Are the Drevo boards meme quality or is it just the keycaps?

Okay fine. KBD75 seems like the best 75%. After that my first choice is a Cherry Noppoo Choc mini but these are nearly impossible to find. The gateron ones are shit, they key chatter like crazy. I will type the rest of this with out the keychatter software enabled.
There are haradware key debounce options on the f keys but they don't actually do anything, Ii've tried all of the different settings. Try to fiind one with pom keys too they arae very nice.
Outsiide of that I guess your onlly options are the vortex and ak33 but the problem wiith those are the non-standarad top row. Atl east there aare aa few sets that fit the noppoo.
The drevo's look good but the LEDs make me worry. I'm confident they'll go ata some point. They alsol misspelt "exaliibur" on the back of iit. The gramr looks okay, just like a noppoo. Iii'll be buyiiing one of them to test.

I'd say anything smaller than TKL is a meme, you're making space and function concessions for perceived aesthetics. A 60% isn't significantly smaller than a TKL but it is significantly less practical.

WHAT that's even less productive than TKL!

I agree with the quality of the KBD75 but you have to build that. I think the Vortex Race 3 is very nice, thats the 75% I've been using lately. People complain about the vortex because of the irregular top row but the stock keycaps are very nice so that doesn't matter to me. There's also the tada68 which I'm not crazy about.

>I'd say anything smaller than TKL is a meme
There isn't much difference between a TKL and 75% other than extra spacing and a few buttons most people don't use. I'd say they're essentially the same functionality.

People with fullsizes shouldn't open their mouths.

96 boards. Basically a fullsized board in TKL format. Very difficult to get atm, though.

It matters to me because they're white and so will look just as bad as my noppoo in Gonna try the drevo excalibur and gramr in the fall.

The numpad has those keys already embedded, and you can toggle them with the numlock key. I think it would be a better tradeoff than a TKL: with a TKL you lose the numpad to gain space, on the other side you retain functionality and gain some space at the expense of having to press numlock every once in a while.

Thanks.
>Very difficult to get atm, though.
Shit!

>Budget
not more than 150€

>Location (continent at least)
Europe

>Preferred switch type
Switch Mx Brown

>Layout
ISO

>Form factor
Without a numpad

>Backlight
yes

I don't know much about the best keyboards, and I'm wondering if I should buy the Ozone Strike Battle, looks good to me.
Thanks in advance for any answers

massdrop.com/buy/red-scarf-iii-ver-a-96-key-custom-keyboard-kit

Can wait for a drop here. But they became unavailable even on taobao, so it looks bad.

There is also duck lightsaver, which is even more rare, shitty board from Cooler master(amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00A378L4C) and another shiity non-programmable kit on aliexpress.

What matters the vortex keycaps? I wouldn't say they're white..more like a very light gray but I care more about the material they're made of, texture, etc. Better than a lot of stock keycaps

Just your opinion really, but blank caps are probably going to be easier to find in a different size than side printed caps.

And yeah, tkl is a failure. So much wasted space with no gains. 75% is much better and 96kbs are absolutely superior.

guide anywhere for this, only find soldering ones

aliexpress.com/store/product/XD75Re-pcB/3034003_32818745981.html

>i dont like the layout so its a failure and im not giving any valid reasons for it

Use ur brain moron. TKL is just a fullsize with keys removed and ton of empty space. 75% has everything tkl has, smaller size and better ergonomics, 96 has more keys and keeps the same size.

>groupbuys
I'd rather not.
That Cooler Master seems cool tho, but if you say it's shit, I'd avoid it.

This is just overkill. Don't get me wrong, that piece of machined aluminum is beautiful, I'm not joking, but shelling out all those money for something that isn't even a complete keyboard means that I'd overshoot my budget once I account for switches, keycaps, a soldering kit, and learning to solder. Also, it's a groupbuy.

Why is the 1800 layout so popular, but 96key isn't? I can find so many affordable keyboards based of the 1800, while the cheapest 96key is from some chink kit that looks ugly

Don't lie, 75% doesn't have everything a tkl has although it does have most of it. We're talking about an inch difference on average between the two, not the biggest deal. "Ton of empty space" is misleading and you know it.

> That Cooler Master seems cool tho, but if you say it's shit, I'd avoid it.
It's shit compared to custom boards. Like it's not programmable and there is only one layout (and there is a gap between keypad and main keys), but it's a decent board overall. Although cm boards sometimes have issues. It's also cheaper.
amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterKeys-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B01ITE93K6 this one is updated version.

> "Ton of empty space" is misleading and you know it.
Bitch, look at a 96 board and then look at a TKL board.
> Don't lie, 75% doesn't have everything a tkl has although it does have most of it.
Yeah, can't live without scroll lock.

>two less keys
Oh no what will I do without a left windows key and scroll lock. My life is, wait... I'll just program it with an Fn modifier, that way if for some reason I need to use it I can.
There are legit reasons to not want a 75% like a lack of keycaps, but even then new sets are coming out regularly that support them, and even some chink shit keycaps come with the extra keys too. complaining about the lack of keys is just retarded

I use a tkl at work and 75% at home so idk what you guys are trying to prove here. I just had to call you out for lying because, like you just admitted, there are fewer keys on a 75%. That is all!

Are u autistic? Were u bullied hard in school? Does shitposting make u hard?

>62084696
You're still lying tho. Its clear you're a troll and don't own a 75% keyboard.

Yes very autistic. Yes I was bullied super hard. Shitposting indeed makes me erect. Anything else?

What's stopping you from killing yourself?

the shitposting, i would assume

> and so will look just as bad as my noppoo
As someone who has both choc mini and race 3, this is absolutely not true.

The aluminum body, black plate, floating key design with bezel flush with keycaps, different shades of light/dark grey on keycaps and centered legends with side-print not being shitty all make the keyboards look completely different.

Hell, even replacing keycaps alone on choc mini greatly improves its looks.

> corsair k65
My nigga.

What's the point of a keyboard this crippled? And it's ugly, too.

Don't you know, the smaller the keyboard the better you are at programming.

>What's the point of a keyboard this crippled?
shitposting

if anyone tries to tell you an ortholinear is in any way comfortable to use, they're fucking lying to you

Shitposting, who is going to troll you if I do that?

>It's shit compared to custom boards
No shit, however custom boards are three times as expensive, and need time and effort to become operational. I don't have neither the money nor the will.

Well, what about full size keyboards that come with media keys? I've seen keyboards having dedicated keys for volume up/down and mute above the numpad. Are those custom boards purchased through expensive groupbuys?

g-g-g-guys something arrive from ch-ch-china
i think is a n-n-n-new meme

what should i do with the package? it even moves!

You mean like Duckys? You can find them almost every were in the world since Ducky channel is the largest mechanical keyboard distributor in the whole world.

I think you want a telegraph key.

MY SIDES

I got my CM QFR-i with browns back in Jan. 2016, and I replaced the stock caps with PBT doubleshot ones from Aliexpress. For the past two years it has been serving me wonderfully, and typing on it feels like when it was new. It was worth the money.

>Got one of these new for $15 a couple years ago

Nice, I'll look around for those, thanks.

This is my favorite keyboard of all time. Just a shitty old last-gen generic dell keyboard. I can type extremely fast on this thing.

Can anyone recommend a mechanical keyboard with a similar feel to this? Similar key pressure needed, etc.. Sorry I'm a retard and know nothing about mechanical keyboards.

If I hired someone and they showed up with this, I'd just tell them to go ahead and leave.

BTC foam and foil

>you have a company to hire people

What if they can achieve 120wpm with this memeboard?

seriously, what the fuck. I want my planck.

Why don't we have an IRC? To practice typing of course.

My Ducky One (Cherry MX Clears) finally came in

I want one so much.

I want a fucking Diverge TM 2 but I'm stuck in wageslaveland

Did you preorder it too? I got mine this past week but it was a TKL version

:^)

What's the function of first key on the right of the Pause key, and what's written on it??

kinesis advantage is much better

>Whats next? a fucking keyboard with 10 keys that have multiple letters and functions on each key?
You mean a chording keyboard? Pic related uses only 6 keys.

>keyboard has katakana characters on it
>has only 35 keys
>there are 46 katakana characters

Hi guys, idiot gamer person here. I have a question, can one keyboard be faster than another? I know a lot of gaming companies would have me believe that their boards are faster than greased lightning but is it ALL just advertising bullshit? I see some "gaming" switches now have shorter actuation points with I guess make them slightly faster, but I can't imagine the difference is anything other than minuscule. Is it all just smoke and mirrors or can one keyboard be faster or more responsive than another? And if so, how?

It's not adjustable and you can't reposition it. It's also really ugly and big.

It’s only good on split keyboards.

But it’s not

There is. Cooler master made keyboards like that.
>cooler master quick fire

Is the magicforce numpad worth it for $23 on memedrop?
massdrop.com/buy/magicforce-21-mechnical-numpad?mode=guest_open

Mostly going to be used for games, I’ll be getting gat browns

$24, sorry

Of course it does. That keyboard's actually called The Gherkin, because it's for jerkin your gherkin.

Is there such a thing as a good 75% wireless mechanical keyboard? Google results are just reviews of bad quallity ones
