Full-time job as software engineer

>full-time job as software engineer
>get home
>only hobby is programming

Anyone else needing to strap on their hobby-finding helmet and lauch into hobby land? At this point I feel like I need to actively look for something non-computer related.

I don't know how you do it, working as a programmer completely killed my drive to work on things for fun.
Buy a camera and go outside.

Get into hardware. In decreasing order of computer-likeness: digital electronics, analog electronics, wood/metalworking (cnc), same but manual.
Find a maker/hackerspace if you don't have totally crippling social autism (most people in those places are autists too)

This. Now I picked up reading and hiking.

Don't do this, you'll end like those autists that fill their loneliness with technology
If you really want some hobby, other boards have wiki or info in general that might interest you, like /po, /fa, /mu, /p etc.

Get an rc plane, flying/fixing can be fun, and it's still considered an outdoor activity.

>no job
>obtained too many hobbies

crypto coins buy digibyte

What's wrong with programming? It's a quite productive hobby.

Think about what most people's hobbies are. Going out, drinking, travelling, gossiping... just so they can say "I did something". Is this meaningless life style what you really want?

Anyway, join #r9kprog on Rizon and share your github.

>work at walmart
>hobby overload

>needing any hobbies other than playing video games and viewing erotic Japanese artwork

back home get smoke and watch porn

Nothing wrong with it, but the combination makes you cooped up in front of a computer for nearly the entire time you're awake

Affects your sleep negatively because you don't tire yourself physically (while tiring yourself mentally), is not very healthy, makes you isolated, etc.

So martial arts.

It will keep you in shape and you can feel like Neo.

OP, are you from germoney?

gayming

This. Check out /p/, /lit/, and /out/.

Recently picked up photography in the last year:
>Fun hobby that's not in front of a computer
>Forces you to go outside

>>Forces you to go outside
I don't understand why you people would want this in the first place.

It's like you enjoy torturing yourselves.

my autism isn't terminal just yet.

sorry user :-(

Well sports obviously. Today I feel like recommending swimming.
Do you want it to be a social thing or just some you time?

lol@germany, always self promoting themselves as hardworkers... lies

Too busy or just have more fun making shit via programming?

Get Tinder and fuck bitches.

as if you did lool

I feel exactly the same. I also look the same. I wish I could download a girlfriend. Maybe she'd come up with something to do.

I quite enjoy RC stuff, cars, multicopters, etc. Technical when it comes to building them (you can do custom ESCs and what not) but it gets you outside.
Another good option is take up a creative discipline. Drawing, painting, origami, music, something like that.

Start going to a gym.

Nobody is going to fucking look at some nerd who spends most of his time slouched over a computer. Software engineer is a huge red flag for women.

>Software engineer is a huge red flag for women.
Why?

>Don't do this, you'll end like those autists that fill their loneliness with technology
I don't see the problem in this, it's not a fill as much as it is a replacement.

>nerd
>bad shape unless you're fit (which you're most likely not)
>autistic (that's a prerequisite for the job)
>most likely bad eyesight which means bad genes
>most likely beta personality
She'd rather pick a Chad who works security at a local bar and let him fuck her brain and cum on her face than let some fucking computer nerd near her.

Back to with you.

Meh. Her loss.

It doesn't matter what hobby you pick, anything becomes interesting if you invest enough time to it.

>bad eyesight which means bad genes
wat

Not really, women don't have a shortage of men wanting to fuck them.
It's okay, sweetie. You're safe here.

photography is a voyeur creep pastime and going outside just makes other people around you uncomfortable

>Not really, women don't have a shortage of men wanting to fuck them.
There's about as many of them as there are us. I'm sure there's some lonely autistic girl who will be happy with me.

>photography is a voyeur creep pastime

This

Only works if you're a chad

If you look like a creep you're relegated to nature photography. Or taking pictures of that decommissioned mine and gravel pit

There are no such girls. Girls cannot be lonely. Have you not understood why you're still a virgin?

>Have you not understood why you're still a virgin?
Because I'm autistic and play with Legos and am not really trying to have sex?

>Finish work with brain fog, too mentally tired to safely drive home
>Go to the gym
>Drive home physically tired and mentally awake
>Spend the rest of the evening in a better mood

Would recommend

>There's about as many of them as there are us.
No that's bullshit. Overall, sure there are way more women, but if you look at specific age groups you'll learn that there are significantly more men than there are women, especially of you look at the 20-30 age group. So this is why I said there is no shortage of men.

never heard of this board, and ctrl+F on it revealed 7 hits of chad on it.

LOL.

maybe if you're taking creepshots and maybe if you're inherently someone that makes other people feel uncomfortable because:

>you dress like shit
>you look like shit
>you act like shit

lad, buy a bulky DSLR and an expensive telephoto and people will start taking you seriously because your camera looks 'important'.

Fucking normie

...

Go back where you came from

Same. I have trouble doing it for fun anymore. Can't wait until (early) retirement so I can finally do it as a hobby again.

You should start drawing and painting.

It gave me the fix I needed.

Also, if you can be bothered, start learning another spoken language or try to improve your native communication skills.

>tinder
>Sup Forums
Only one can exist in your life and you don't get to choose

What are your interests? Are you single? Do you have friends?

Do you even have to ask the past two questions?

I don't see how it's a creep and voyeur to take photos of buildings, nature etc.
Also you need to go outside, be it for sport or hobbies, because it's good for your mental health, natural sunlight, contact with real people ( not the ones on the internet for a change )
It is, because of reasons stated above

play games faggot

>good for your mental health
Source?
>natural sunlight
That's like saying being in front of a computer is good for looking at pixels.
>contact with real people
Most people who go outside too much do not strive for higher learning, as such they have little in common to discuss with people tuned for problem solving, such as myself. The times have changed and it's time to redefine what should be considered an "optimal" lifestyle.

>Get home
> eat and run to gym
> every month i go to poland for a weekend
>indulge myself in high quality prostitutes
> a 22 yr old wants to lock me down
> tfw i will never settle with a whore but deep down i love her
>tfw my mom wants to me settle down with a girl from church

>watch porn
I think he wants something off computers.

You can settle down and still sneak out to go see prostitutes Hans.

>I don't know how you do it, working as a programmer completely killed my drive to work on things for fun.

how to spot an industry brainlet.

How to spot a highschool dropout who's gonna make it big in the videogame industry eventually.

The goal of it isn't to actually learn something, it's just to socialize, saying "hi" to people, perhaps strike a conversation, learn some things about the person, her views on some stuff etc.

I like programming but not the culture that surrounds it, full of arrogant people. I used to do something IT related for a volunteer organization, and what a difference it was.

Make some youtube videos or something, good way to murder time

sorry you have no reason to live pleb.
it must suck to not want to solve problems.

Life's too short to worry about everything you've listed, if I do not work at a constant pace I will never be able to complete my great work, and surely fall victim to mediocrity. If it wasn't for a close friend whose mental health I'm concerned about, I wouldn't see anyone at all.

Show me your Project Euler solutions, kiddo.

yes, because he needs to brag for the sake of his self esteem.

I'm in the same boat as OP.
I programmed as a hobby, got good at it, then got a job in it.

Now I have almost no interest in programming outside of work. Even opening my IDE at home makes me feel depressed.

Get yourself a soldering iron and a voltimeter.

Why?

>Thinks going outside and saying hi to someone is a waste of time
>Is on Sup Forums

nice projection there.

there are plenty of graph problems that still need decent approximations. maybe you should get on it. but then again you're probably too brainlet for maths.

Takes less time to shitpost on Sup Forums.

I don't know, I'm not a psychologist.

It probably has to do with the fact that it's my job. I'm forced to do it, whether I enjoy it or not.

Back to plebbit with you.

>get in at 10
>leave at 5
>as soon as I get home start playing video games and watching anime
>ever 3 weeks when I get a new vacation day immediately take it to play video games the entire day
I never had this problem.

...

Had the same issues, but I picked up some new hobbies

>gym
I started to look like a blob because of sitting down all day and my bad diet
>photography
Forces me to go outside and explore
>hiking
Went to a few national parks plus also got to take great pics

I also quit video games because its the same, sitting down and staring at a screen and in the end you have nothing to show for it.

This. At least I have a Metal band, so I have some good moment rehearsing

You never know.

any hobby can change your life for me something trivial like juggling ended up with me going places and meeting new people

Only thing they got going in their life

Please tell me more about the poland weekends. Location? Cost? Do you go alone?

Are you me?

To challenge the mind study math from the ground up. Interesting stuff my friend. To test your dexterity build models. To do a little of both learn to draw and paint.

>Anyone else needing to strap on their hobby-finding helmet
Go buy a project car
Start working on it
Learn how to work on cars
Will get ur ass out of the house for once.

>t.jobless faggot

Lift weights, my dude. All your efforts are mental, and you're probably neglecting the physical. I'm no hippie, but mind and body are clearly connected. Don't neglect one for the other. Just 1 hour, three or four times a week is enough.

WE ARE THE DIGIMARINES

That the reason I didn't studied something related to computers. I knew I will grew sick of it.

kill yourself

I play videogames.

I'd like to work on stuff, but usually after work I just want to zone out and do nothing for awhile. When I do want to work on something related to work I gotta have a good motivation/need to do it.

I kind of like this, because it means I don't do work outside of actual work hours.

Pretty much all my coworkers are fit, do some sort of outdoor hobby, outgoing and friendly. You have a really out of touch with reality idea of what they are/look like.

Build stuff in real life now.

But you spent a lot of time studying English, am I right?

I play Rugby familia, its like americuck football but for mens

My body is thin now from nothing but programming. I feel like a head on a stick. Eyes bloodshot and everything else seems worn like I ran through a field of plants.

WTF

join a boxing gym OP

My manlet friend joined one, he didn't even last the first 2 days which are just warm up and they make you run like 5km in the morning.
He didn't even get to wear the gloves kek.
